What are the clinical symptoms of vulvitis?

In our daily life, various gynecological diseases are major factors that affect the health of female friends. Vulvitis is one of the more common ones. When something happens in your body, it indicates that you may have vulvitis. What are the clinical symptoms of vulvitis? I believe that there must be many people who don’t understand this. Today I will introduce this aspect to you. Friends in need can take a look.

1. Fungal vulvitis: Clinical symptoms include itching, burning sensation and painful urination (complication of urethritis). Many women complain of pain during sexual intercourse. The area around the vulva is often red and edematous. There are various changes in the epidermis: very shallow vesicular papules may occur in groups; eczematous erosions may also form, which are limited to the vulva or extend to the perineum, around the anus and femoral genital folds, and even to the inner thighs. The appearance is completely similar to acute or subacute eczema. The mucosa between the labia and near the clitoris is thickened, and the skin surfaces that contact each other are flushed and eroded; some may cause tiny white pustules, and in severe cases, ulcers may occur, the affected area is painful, and the local lymph nodes are inflamed.

2. Trichomonas vulvitis: Trichomonas vulvae is a protozoan that parasitizes the vagina and grows well in a weakly acidic environment. The normal environment inside the vulva is acidic, but it changes to near neutral before and after menstruation, giving Trichomonas an opportunity to grow and multiply, and cause inflammation. The incubation period is 4-28 days, and the main symptoms are increased vaginal discharge and vulvar itching, occasionally burning sensation, and pain during sexual intercourse. Typical leucorrhea is thin, purulent, yellow-green, foamy, and has a foul odor. Trichomonas can also invade the urethra, paraurethral glands, and even the bladder and renal pelvis, but will not rise above the cervical opening. In addition to sexual contact, Trichomonas can be transmitted through moist objects such as bath towels, tool gloves, swimsuits or underwear, toilet seats, and toilet water.
