Today, people tend to ignore their physical health. No matter whether they are men or women, they are always busy with work. For the sake of work, they often do not pay attention to their physical health, often drink alcohol, stay up late, which leads to their physical fitness getting worse and worse. Female friends in particular are very prone to adnexitis, which brings countless tortures to the body. But is adnexitis really pelvic inflammatory disease? 1. Adnexitis: refers to the inflammation of the fallopian tubes and ovaries. However, fallopian tube and oophoritis are often accompanied by parametrial connective tissue inflammation and pelvic peritonitis, and it is difficult to distinguish them during diagnosis. Therefore, pelvic peritonitis and parametrial connective tissue inflammation are also classified as adnexitis. Generally speaking, adnexitis is a common disease caused by pathogenic microorganisms invading the reproductive organs and causing infection of the fallopian tubes and ovaries. It is divided into acute and chronic types. The symptoms of acute adnexitis are obvious, such as fever, chills, and severe lower abdominal pain. Chronic adnexitis causes varying degrees of abdominal pain, or a feeling of heaviness and pulling in the lower abdomen, which may be mild or severe, accompanied by symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, back pain, and menstrual disorders. 2. Pelvic inflammatory disease: refers to the inflammation of the female upper reproductive tract and its surrounding tissues. The inflammation can be limited to one part or affect several parts at the same time. The most common ones are salpingitis and salpingo-oophoritis. Pelvic inflammatory disease mostly occurs in sexually active, menstruating women. It rarely occurs in women before menarche, after menopause or unmarried people. The typical symptoms after the disease are fever, lower abdominal pain that is resistant to pressure, and excessive and purulent vaginal discharge. May be accompanied by fatigue, low back pain, and menstrual disorders. Severe cases may include high fever, chills, headache, and loss of appetite. If there is peritonitis, digestive system symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal distension will appear. If an abscess is formed and located in the front, bladder irritation symptoms may occur, such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. 3. From the above, it can be seen that the two are different diseases. Therefore, when treating the disease, it is necessary to choose the appropriate treatment method according to different diseases. If women do not understand the types of diseases and do not go to the hospital for treatment, it is very easy for the situation to become more serious. Is adnexitis pelvic inflammatory disease? From the above we can see that the two are not the same disease at all, so when treating them, we must pay attention and actively treat them. |
