What harm does nephritis do to the human body?

As people are under increasing pressure in life, many people are rushing to work. Some people even drink less water to avoid going to the toilet, which causes their kidneys to be stimulated by long-term toxins and cause nephritis. Some young people delay their treatment because they do not have a comprehensive understanding of the disease, which brings many difficulties and obstacles to the later treatment. So what harm does nephritis do to the human body?

When talking about nephritis, a "nephritis face" immediately comes to people's mind - a swollen face, which is the living sign of nephritis. In fact, nephritis manifested by edema only accounts for a part of nephritis. The manifestations of nephritis are varied. In addition to edema, there are also anemia, hypertension, oliguria, polyuria, and when it develops to the uremia stage, gastrointestinal bleeding will occur. Some nephritis has no symptoms, which we call latent nephritis.

Some people feel puzzled after being diagnosed with chronic nephritis: I have never felt uncomfortable before, so how did I get this disease? It turns out that there is a reason why the symptoms of chronic nephritis are hidden. One kidney in the human body has 1 million nephrons, and two kidneys together have 2 million nephrons. They have strong compensatory capabilities. Even if 50% of the nephrons are damaged, the remaining 50% are enough to take on all of the kidney's physiological functions. When nephritis does not affect most of the glomeruli, no symptoms will appear, not much protein will be excreted in the urine, no plasma protein will be caused, and no edema will occur.

Apart from edema, other symptoms of acute nephritis are not specific, such as low back pain, fatigue and other symptoms, because they can be seen in colds, flu and fatigue, and usually do not arouse people's vigilance. In fact, among chronic nephritis, only 15% to 20% of people suffer from acute nephritis. Most patients cannot find a clear cause of the disease and feel good about themselves. But inside the kidneys, latent lesions are quietly eroding renal tissue. Glomerular sclerosis, filtration disorders, endocrine disorders, etc. can cause high blood pressure; kidney damage and reduced erythropoietin can lead to anemia; decreased renal detoxification function and accumulation of toxins such as ammonia in the body can stimulate the digestive tract and cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and other digestive symptoms. Hypertension, anemia, gastrointestinal symptoms, etc. are not specific and are easily overlooked. Until one day, when the kidney function can no longer sustain, the patient will seek medical treatment due to the outbreak of symptoms of uremia. This silent "dumb nephritis" catches people off guard and they are "bitten" by it without realizing it.

Regarding the harm of nephritis to the human body, I believe that through the detailed explanation in the above paragraphs, the majority of office workers should have a deeper understanding! Just now I would like to remind everyone that no matter how busy we are at work, we must arrange our own diet structure. It is best to drink more water and eat less carbonated drinks and high-calorie foods. This is beneficial to our kidney health.
