Every physiological manifestation of women can reflect the health status of their body. However, many women do not understand their own physical conditions, and often do not pay much attention when problems occur, only to find out that it is too late. This is not an exaggeration. Take leucorrhea for example. What does it look like for normal women? These can indirectly reflect one's physical condition, and there will be changes in some small details. Leucorrhea is a general term for fluids discharged and exuded from the fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix and vagina. Its main components are exudates from the vaginal epithelium, secretions from the endometrium and cervical glands, fallopian tube endometrial epithelium, as well as exfoliated epithelial cells and a small amount of white blood cells and microorganisms. Leucorrhea often has a slightly fishy smell or is odorless, but has no odor. It is liquid, transparent white or milky white. It can lubricate the vagina, keep the vaginal vestibule area warm and create a sense of comfort, and is non-irritating to the mucous membrane and skin. These are all characteristics of normal leucorrhea. 1. Purulent leucorrhea. It is yellow or yellow-green in color, sticky or foamy, and has a foul odor. It is mostly caused by vaginal inflammation, among which Trichomonas vaginitis is the most common, and is often accompanied by vulvar itching. It can also be seen in chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis, endometritis, mesometrial effusion or foreign bodies in the vagina. 2. Cheese-like or tofu-like leucorrhea. Most of them are typical phenomena of candidal vaginitis, often accompanied by severe vulvar itching. 3. Bloody leucorrhea. If there is blood in the leucorrhea, you should be alert to the possibility of malignant tumors such as cervical cancer and endometrial cancer. However, benign lesions such as cervical polyps, cervical erosion, submucosal myoma, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, urethral caruncle, senile vaginitis, etc. can also cause bloody leucorrhea, and a small amount of blood caused by intrauterine contraceptive device. 4. Yellow watery leucorrhea. It often occurs after continuous vaginal bleeding, with a large amount of purulent and foul-smelling leucorrhea flowing out of the vagina. Advanced cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, or submucosal myoma with infection should be considered first. Those with paroxysmal discharge should be aware of the possibility of fallopian tube cancer. 5. Urinary dysfunction accompanied by increased leucorrhea. In typical gonococcal infection, the leucorrhea is like the urethral secretion, with increased amount, yellow purulent, and showing intense inflammatory reaction. The leucorrhea caused by chlamydia in cervicitis is less viscous and has an increase in white serous cervical secretions. Normal female leucorrhea is often transparent and has no odor. On the contrary, leucorrhea that is like tofu dregs and has an odor is a serious warning from the body to female friends, and it should be taken seriously. Of course, the characteristics of leucorrhea before and after menstruation are different from those in normal periods. After understanding this, you won’t be surprised. |
