What is the difference between ovarian cyst and uterine cyst?

In modern society, women's health is receiving more and more attention, and the incidence of gynecological diseases in women is also increasing. Various gynecological diseases endanger women's health, and the uterus and ovaries are the most common sites for gynecological diseases. Various gynecological diseases such as cysts, erosion, odor, etc. It is best for women to go to the hospital for gynecological examinations every six months. Once a gynecological disease is detected, it should be treated promptly and not ignored. Do you know the difference between ovarian cysts and uterine cysts?

Ovarian cyst refers to a cyst-like mass on the ovary, and the cause of the disease is not very clear. Ovarian cyst is a type of ovarian tumor, which may be benign or malignant. Common signs include intra-abdominal masses. If there are no complications or malignant changes, the biggest feature of intra-abdominal masses that are medium in size or smaller is mobility, and they can often move from the pelvic cavity to the abdominal cavity. The mass is generally not tender, but if there are complications or malignant changes, not only will the mass itself be tender, but there may even be symptoms of peritoneal irritation. Another obvious sign is ascites. The presence of ascites is often a characteristic of malignant tumors, but benign cysts such as ovarian fibromas and papillary cystadenomas can also produce ascites.

In chronic cervicitis, the cervical glands and surrounding tissues proliferate. When the gland ducts are squeezed by the surrounding tissues and the gland openings are blocked, the secretions in the glands cannot flow out and are retained inside, causing the gland cavity to expand and form cystic tumors of varying sizes, called "cervical gland retention cysts". The mucus contained in them is often clear and transparent, but may be turbid and purulent due to combined infection. The cysts are generally small and scattered, and can protrude from the surface of the cervix. The small ones are only as big as millet grains, and the large ones can reach the size of corn kernels. They are bluish-white and may be accompanied by erosion, but they are also common in cervixes with smooth surfaces. Due to the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, the cervical tissue repeatedly undergoes congestion, edema, inflammatory cell infiltration and connective tissue hyperplasia, resulting in cervical hypertrophy. In severe cases, the cervix can be more than doubled compared to a normal cervix. In severe cases, it can lead to abnormal menstruation or even infertility.

I believe that after reading the above introduction about ovarian cysts and uterine cysts, you can distinguish ovarian cysts from uterine cysts. Ovarian cysts and uterine cysts are both diseases that endanger women's health. Once discovered, they must be treated in time and not allowed to develop, otherwise it will lead to adverse consequences. Maintain a positive and healthy attitude and actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment. If allowed to develop into a tumor, it will become uncontrollable. I wish you good health!
