Why does vaginal bleeding occur after sex?

Vaginal bleeding is relatively common among women. Many female friends will experience symptoms of vaginal bleeding after having sex, but there are many answers as to what causes it. Some are pathological, which is something no one wants to see. Why does vaginal bleeding occur after sex? I hope everyone can learn more about this and know what causes vaginal bleeding.

There are many reasons for bleeding after intercourse, including vaginal wall abrasion, submucosal uterine fibroids (prolapse into the vagina), cervical lesions, etc. The most common cause is cervical lesions.

Cervical lesions are divided into benign cervical lesions and malignant cervical lesions. Benign cervical lesions include chronic cervicitis and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, while malignant cervical lesions are cervical cancer.

If you experience bleeding after intercourse after a normal delivery, it is likely that you have chronic cervicitis. It is recommended that you go to the hospital as soon as possible to undergo a cervical liquid-based cytology smear test (TCT) and a colposcopy to clarify the cause of bleeding after intercourse and the extent of the lesion. If TCT and colposcopy show no abnormalities, chronic cervicitis can be treated with medication or physical therapy. If TCT test results are abnormal or colposcopy shows abnormalities, colposcopy-guided positioning biopsy is required to further clarify the diagnosis.

There are three possible causes of bleeding during intercourse:

1. Rough behavior may damage the vaginal mucosa or the skin of the vaginal opening and cause bleeding;

2. Cervical diseases, such as cervical erosion and cervical cancer. If bleeding occurs repeatedly after sexual intercourse and has nothing to do with posture, you must go to the hospital for examination and treatment;

3. When menstruation has just ended, because the vagina and endometrium have just been repaired, sexual intercourse may cause bleeding. This is normal. Don't worry.

Through the above introduction, how much do you know about why vaginal bleeding occurs after sex? If a man uses too much force during intercourse, it can also cause vaginal bleeding. At this time, you can apply some medicine and avoid having sex until you recover. If it is a pathological reason, then female friends should go to the hospital for treatment immediately. I believe everyone knows how much harm gynecological diseases can do to women.
