Treatment of cervical erosion after surgery

Treatment of cervical erosion after surgery

I don’t know if any of us have encountered the problem of cervical erosion. This problem has brought us a huge impact. Many people do not have a clear understanding of this disease and understand the treatment methods of these diseases. Only when we have similar diseases can we seek more effective treatment. Maybe many of us do not have a clear understanding of the postoperative treatment methods of cervical erosion. Let us learn about the postoperative treatment methods of cervical erosion.

1. After cervical erosion, the amount of vaginal discharge increases and becomes thicker. Occasionally, there may be purulent or bloody vaginal discharge. Backache, abdominal pain, and a heavy feeling in the lower abdomen are also common. Sexual intercourse may also cause contact bleeding, and the appearance of odor is also very likely.

For the treatment of cervical erosion, firstly, a cervical smear should be done to exclude precancerous lesions, and then a pathological examination of cervical secretions should be conducted to confirm which pathogen is causing it. If necessary, pathogen culture + drug sensitivity test can be performed to select sensitive drugs for treatment. Drug treatment includes local medication and systemic medication, but physical therapy is better for the treatment of moderate and severe cervical erosion, such as: laser, microwave, Bohm light, red light, LEEP knife, etc. It is recommended that you choose a treatment method that suits you under the guidance of a doctor and undergo standardized treatment, and it can be cured.

2. Physical therapy--------is a widely used treatment method, which has the advantages of short treatment course and low cost. It is suitable for patients with larger erosion area and deeper inflammatory infiltration. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, red light therapy, microwave therapy, freezing, laser, radio frequency and other therapies. However, after treatment, obvious scars will form on the patient's cervical opening, which will affect the elasticity of the cervix and cause the cervix to harden. It will be difficult for the cervix to dilate and fully open during delivery, affecting the smooth delivery of the fetus. It will have a great impact on future conception and childbirth, and the disease is prone to recurrence. Therefore, regular national hospitals do not recommend treatment now.

3. Minimally invasive LEEP treatment--------Cervical erosion is divided into three degrees (first degree, second degree, third degree). For first degree erosion, clinicians generally recommend drug treatment. However, from the clinical use of drugs in the obstetrics and gynecology department of our hospital, it was found that drug treatment generally only relieves symptoms. Some patients, because of the lack of timely follow-up examinations, may worsen the disease over time. Therefore, it is recommended that patients with first, second or third degree erosion can use LEEP knife surgery, because after LEEP knife treatment, the elasticity of the cervix is restored to its original state, and the cervical scar formed by the treatment is shallow, which will not hinder the dilation of the cervix, so it will not affect the smooth delivery of the fetus. It is widely accepted by women because of its advantages such as one-time cure and no impact on pregnancy, short operation time (10 minutes), quick recovery, good effect and low recurrence. As for the cost issue, you usually need to go to the hospital for a clear diagnosis to see what degree the disease is before you can get an approximate estimate of the cost. In addition, everyone's physical condition is different, and the pre- and post-operative treatments are also different. Therefore, it is recommended that you go to a regular national hospital for examination first, listen to the doctor's advice, and then consider it on your own.

The above content introduces us to the relevant issues about the postoperative treatment methods of cervical erosion. I believe that everyone must have a clearer understanding of these contents. The above methods are all very good methods. Our patients with cervical erosion can receive treatment according to the above methods. I believe that everyone will be able to recover their health as soon as possible and live a healthy life.
