Causes of heavy bleeding during pregnancy

Causes of heavy bleeding during pregnancy

Many women always experience heavy bleeding during pregnancy. It is a very important thing for a woman to get pregnant after much hard work. It is also something that a woman values throughout her life. However, if heavy bleeding suddenly occurs at this time, the woman's mind will not be able to bear it, and the body will also not be able to bear it. There are many reasons for heavy bleeding for a woman, and it is often related to diseases. So what are the reasons for heavy bleeding during pregnancy?

1. Threatened abortion: fetal chromosomal abnormalities, maternal hormone imbalance, congenital uterine developmental abnormalities or acquired defects, immune system problems, viral infections, pregnant women suffering from chronic diseases (such as heart disease, kidney disease and blood diseases), overwork, excessive stress, too intense sexual life, external impact, environmental pollution, improper use of medication, smoking, drinking, excessive caffeine intake or eating other foods that promote uterine contractions, etc.

2. Cervical polyps, cervical disease or cervical lesions: When it comes to early pregnancy bleeding, many people tend to ignore the problem of the cervix. If the cervix is severely inflamed and eroded, or if there are already cervical polyps, it is easy for the surface capillaries to rupture and bleed due to hormonal changes after pregnancy. In recent years, the age group in which cervical cancer most commonly occurs has quietly dropped to 30 to 40 years old. Being pregnant does not mean that there is no problem with the cervix. Regular cervical health checks should be done before and after pregnancy. If there is vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy, the cervix should also be checked for problems.

3. Ectopic pregnancy: When the fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, it is called an ectopic pregnancy. The incidence rate is about 1%, and 95% of ectopic pregnancies occur in the fallopian tube. Because the wall of the fallopian tube is very thin, it cannot provide enough nutrition to the embryo. The gradually developing fertilized egg will cause the wall of the fallopian tube to swell and cause the wall to rupture. Abnormal vaginal bleeding will occur at 7 to 8 weeks of pregnancy, and there may even be severe abdominal pain or shock due to massive intra-abdominal bleeding.

4. Hydatidiform mole: It is a benign chorionic disease with an incidence rate of about 1. The incidence rate is higher in Asian countries. Because of the abnormal proliferation of trophoblastic cells of the placental villi, the terminal villi turn into blisters, which are connected in clusters and resembling grapes, hence the name hydatidiform mole. In the early stages of pregnancy, there may be symptoms such as abnormal vaginal bleeding, severe morning sickness and even palpitations.

Overwork

If the pregnant mother is too tired or under great work pressure in the early stages of pregnancy, it may also cause a small amount of vaginal bleeding.

Take appropriate measures, get enough rest and be in a good mood, and do pregnancy preservation treatment if necessary.

Physiological bleeding

After conception, some pregnant mothers will still have a small amount of menstrual-like bleeding during their menstrual period, generally without other accompanying symptoms (such as abdominal pain, menstrual discomfort). This may just be a physiological reaction to the implantation of the fertilized egg.

Measures, just keep the vulva clean.

abortion

The placenta separates from the uterine wall and stimulates the uterus, causing it to contract, the cervix to dilate, and blood to flow out of the uterus. This type of bleeding is often accompanied by lower abdominal pain. The amount of bleeding increases from a small amount to a large amount, the color changes from dark to red, and the abdominal pain gradually develops from dull pain to more severe pain.

You must pay attention. When heavy bleeding occurs during pregnancy, it will cause great harm to the fetus. If it is a miscarriage, the child's life will be lost. If it is an ectopic pregnancy, then after the heavy bleeding, it will not only harm the fetus, but also your own life. Therefore, the symptoms of heavy bleeding during pregnancy must be taken seriously. These reasons are all causes of heavy bleeding during pregnancy, and they must be avoided in time in life.
