Can I have a physical examination one day after my period ends?

The end of menstruation also means that you should relax immediately after the discomfort you have experienced in the past few days. However, if you need to have a physical examination on the first day after the end of menstruation, this will make people feel very panicked and they will also worry that it will affect the results of the physical examination. The end of menstruation has nothing to do with the physical examination. Just inform the medical staff during the examination. The time for the physical examination should be in the first three days. Ensure a normal diet, do not smoke, drink alcohol, or drink coffee.

Physical examination time

Please maintain a normal diet and avoid drinking alcohol three days before the examination. Arrive at the hospital between 8:00-10:30 on the day of the examination on an empty stomach.

Physical Examination Notes

1. Patients with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, asthma, etc., please bring your usual medications with you for backup. It is recommended not to stop taking medication on the day of the test;

2. When conducting the examination of each subject, please be sure to check each subject and item by item according to the scheduled items, and do not miss any examination to avoid affecting the final health assessment;

3. This center is a health check-up institution. If you have acute symptoms such as fever, you should go to the hospital for treatment and the check-up will be arranged separately;

4. No abnormalities found in a health check-up does not mean that there is no underlying disease. If symptoms of disease occur, you should seek medical attention in time;

5. Women should pay special attention

1) If you are pregnant or may be pregnant, please inform the medical staff in advance and do not undergo X-ray and cervical smear examination;

2) Gynecological examination or intracavitary gynecological B-ultrasound examination is limited to married or sexually active people;

3) Please do not collect urine or do cervical smear test during menstruation, and wait until the end of menstruation to do the test again;

Physical examination notes:

Health check-up is one of the effective means to prevent diseases. Through health check-ups, you can understand your own health status and discover some difficult-to-detect early diseases, so that you can intervene in time to stop the occurrence and development of the disease and achieve twice the result with half the effort. However, many examinees do not pay enough attention to some key links of the physical examination or have misunderstandings, which leads to various omissions and makes it difficult to achieve the purpose of the physical examination.

1. Blood collection time is too late

Physical examination and testing requires fasting blood collection between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning, and no later than 9:00. If you eat too late, your blood sugar level will be distorted due to the influence of physiological endocrine hormones in the body (even though you are still fasting). Therefore, the examinee should have blood drawn as early as possible and avoid delaying the test.

2. Stopping medication rashly before a physical examination

Blood collection requires fasting, but patients with chronic diseases and taking medications should be treated differently. For example, patients with hypertension need to take antihypertensive drugs every morning to maintain stable blood pressure. Abruptly stopping or delaying the medication may cause a sudden rise in blood pressure and lead to danger. Measure your blood pressure again after taking the medication as usual, and the physical examination doctor can also evaluate the current anti-hypertensive plan. The effect of taking a small amount of antihypertensive drugs on laboratory tests is slight and can be ignored. Therefore, patients with hypertension should come for a physical examination after taking antihypertensive drugs. Patients with diabetes or other chronic diseases should also take medication in time after blood collection, and regular treatment should not be interfered with by physical examinations.
