What is the discharge of gonococcal urethritis like?

The secretions of gonococcal urethritis are very different from those in normal circumstances, so some people who love cleanliness cannot tolerate it. Many people have misunderstandings about gonococcal urethritis. In fact, gonococcal urethritis is not just a disease unique to men, it is also common among women, but men are more likely to get the disease and the consequences are more serious than women. Next, let us fully understand the secretions of gonococcal urethritis so that we can take appropriate measures when it occurs.

Male acute gonococcal urethritis is male acute gonorrhea. The incubation period ranges from 0.5 to 15 days, with an average of 3 to 5 days. The first is acute anterior urethral infection. The earliest symptoms are redness, swelling, itching and slight tingling at the urethral opening, followed by the discharge of thin, pale white or light yellow mucus (Figure 20-002), causing discomfort during urination. One day later, the symptoms worsened and the secretion was dark yellow and thick pus (Figure 20-003). When the pus was small, it could only be found by squeezing the anterior urethra (Figure 20-004).

When there is a lot of pus, the glans penis, foreskin and the area around the urethral opening will be eroded and soaked (Figure 20-005). Sometimes pieces of dried pus or bloody pus in fresh pus can be seen in the crotch. Some have exudate and pus, some have local edema and pus, and some have pus in the form of strips along the urethral opening.

For the treatment of gonococcal urethritis, the general conventional treatment is for non-gonococcal urethritis, and oral azithromycin and doxycycline can be taken. Generally, the drug is stopped for 15 days, and a check-up is done 20 days after stopping the drug. If it is negative, you can continue to observe, because a negative result is not an absolute cure. If there is no recurrence within 6 months, it can generally be considered cured. Mycoplasma is smaller than bacteria and can be hidden in human ganglia or cells. Ordinary antibiotics and anti-disease drugs cannot separate and kill it from it, so many symptoms will remain after conventional treatment. For the treatment of non-gonococcal urethritis, in your case, it is recommended that you take more effective specialist drugs, and antibiotic treatment alone is not recommended.

Treatment of gonococcal urethritis. Although the symptoms of non-gonococcal urethritis are not very obvious, if not cured in time, there will be a risk of complications over time. Therefore, you should go to a qualified hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time after becoming ill. Do not hide your medical history from the doctor, and do not abuse antibiotics yourself to avoid delaying treatment. As long as you cooperate with the doctor's treatment and strictly follow the doctor's orders, non-gonococcal urethritis can be cured. Due to the long growth cycle of chlamydia, medication should be used for a long time. Because non-gonococcal urethritis is easily mixed with other pathogens, broad-spectrum antibiotic therapy is used, and emphasis is placed on continuous and uninterrupted use of medication, regular, sufficient, and thorough treatment.
