There are always some women around us, no matter they are young or in their thirties or forties, there are always one or two who go to the toilet more frequently, especially in some large companies, such women are very common. Frequent visits to the toilet mean that these women always feel the urge to urinate, so they rush to the toilet to do so. Why do women always have the urge to urinate? If a woman always has the urge to urinate, this may be a series of symptoms caused by a urinary tract infection. Symptoms of Urinary Tract Infection in Women: The main symptoms of urinary tract infection are abnormal urination, abnormal urine and low back pain. Abnormal urination, i.e. frequent urination, urgency, pain, etc., may also lead to urinary incontinence and urinary retention. Abnormal urine, common ones include bacteriuria, pyuria, hematuria and pneumaturia. Low back pain. When the renal capsule, renal pelvis, or ureter are irritated or the tension increases, the low back can feel pain. There are many causes of urinary tract infection. Bad hygiene habits are only one of the causes. In addition, improper sexual life and menstrual care may also lead to urinary tract infection in women. Because the female urethra itself is relatively short, straight, and thick, women are much more likely to suffer from urinary tract infection than men. Therefore, women should pay attention to actively prevent urinary tract infection in their daily lives. Preventive Care How to prevent urinary tract infection? The recurrence of urinary infection can be divided into recurrence and reinfection. It is generally believed that if the same bacteria recurs within 2 weeks after the recovery of urinary tract infection, it is considered a recurrence of urinary tract infection. On the contrary, if the infection recurs more than 2 weeks after the recovery of urinary tract infection, whether the pathogen is the same as the previous one or not, it is diagnosed as reinfection, and the following preventive measures can be taken: 1. General measures: ① Drink more water, preferably more than 2000 ml per day, and urinate every 2 to 3 hours. ② Patients who have sexual intercourse should urinate in time after sexual intercourse. If necessary, they should consult an obstetrician and gynecologist and choose an appropriate contraceptive method. ③Try to avoid the use of urinary tract instruments. ④ Cranberry juice Experimental studies have shown that cranberry juice can prevent Escherichia coli from adhering to urothelial cells and help prevent urinary tract infections. 2. Antibiotic prevention: Antibiotic prevention can significantly reduce the chance of recurrence of urinary tract infection in women. For recurrence of urinary tract infection within six months For female patients who have had 2 or more episodes of recurrence or 3 or more episodes of recurrence within 1 year, antibiotic treatment is recommended (Grade A). Prevention plans include continuous medication and post-coital medication, with a course of 6 to 12 months. These regimens must be used after the original urinary tract infection is cured (urine culture is negative 1 to 2 weeks after stopping the medication), and antibiotics can be selected based on previous drug sensitivity test results and the patient's drug allergy history. Compared with the continuous dosing method, the post-coital medication method is more convenient and more easily accepted by patients who have sexual intercourse. Cephalexin, ciprofloxacin, or nitrofurantoin can be taken within 2 hours after sexual intercourse. 3. Prevention in postmenopausal women: Local application of estrogen ointment in the vagina can restore the local environment of the vagina and reduce the chance of recurrence of urinary tract infection (Grade A). 4. For patients with frequent recurrent urinary urges, their urinary system should be carefully examined for anatomical malformations, underlying lesions (such as stones, polycystic kidney disease, medullary sponge kidney, etc.) and overall immune system abnormalities. What kind of food should female patients with urinary tract infection usually eat? It is recommended to eat more fresh vegetables and fruits. Don't be afraid of going to the toilet all the time, and drink plenty of water. In terms of diet, some foods cannot be eaten, such as some irritating foods, including peppers, onions, garlic, etc. No matter how many social events you have, don't drink. |
