What causes vulvar itching?

Women's private parts are often troubled by various problems, among which vulvar itching makes many sisters embarrassed and miserable. When you are intimate with your loved one, do you often feel insecure? In public places, do you feel like an ant on hot pot, fidgeting uncomfortably due to sudden unbearable itching? So what exactly is vulvar itching? Let’s find out together!

1. Drug allergy or chemical irritation Soap, condoms, Sanisol, mercurochrome, etc. can cause contact dermatitis, vulvar neurodermatitis, and vulvar seborrheic dermatitis due to direct irritation or allergy, resulting in itching symptoms.

2. Bad hygiene habits. Not paying attention to the local cleaning of the vulva. Long-term stimulation of the vulva by sebum, sweat, menstruation, vaginal secretions, and even urine and feces can cause itching: using rubber or plastic menstrual belts during menstruation and wearing airtight chemical fiber underwear can induce itching due to the accumulation of damp heat.

3. Other skin lesions, abrasions, common warts, herpes, eczema, and tumors can all cause vulvar itching: vulvar eczema, vulvar psoriasis, interstitial cystitis, localized vulvitis, and desquamative vaginitis syndrome.

4. Vulvar tumors: vulvar Kaposi's sarcoma, vulvar sweat gland adenocarcinoma, vulvar adenosquamous carcinoma, vulvar Paget's disease, vulvar basal cell carcinoma, vulvar invasive squamous cell carcinoma, vulvar melanoma, etc.

5. Diabetes: Due to the irritation of diabetes to the vulvar skin, especially when accompanied by fungal vulvitis, vulvar itching is particularly severe. Many patients first seek medical attention due to itching and redness of the vulva, and are diagnosed with diabetes only after further examination.

6. When patients with chronic diseases such as jaundice, vitamin A deficiency, anemia, leukemia, etc. experience vulvar itching, it is often part of systemic itching.

7. Vulvar congestion during pregnancy and premenstrual period may occasionally cause vulvar itching and discomfort.

8. Unexplained vulvar itching Some patients have very severe vulvar itching, but no obvious systemic or local cause can be found. Some people currently believe that it may be related to mental or psychological factors.

Vulvar itching is actually a very common symptom. Patients do not need to feel any psychological burden. Female friends should pay attention to maintaining personal hygiene and have a positive and optimistic attitude towards life. Even if you are sick, you should adjust your mentality and cooperate with the doctor's treatment. I wish you all a speedy recovery.
