What is the cause of a small pimple on the vulva?

Summer is here, the heat permeates every corner of our lives, and sweating is inevitable. In the stuffy days of summer, many women will find that strange small bumps appear on their pubic areas. It is really uncomfortable in this hot and humid weather, and they cannot be scratched to relieve the itching like other parts of their body. Next, let me briefly introduce the issue of what is the most common small bump on the vulva.

Possible causes of the disease:

1. Bad hygiene habits: Not paying attention to the local cleanliness of the vulva, long-term stimulation by sebum, sweat, menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, or immersion in urine and feces can cause pimples on the vulva.

2. Sanitary napkins during menstruation and non-breathable synthetic underwear at other times can induce itching due to long-term accumulation of moisture and heat in the local area.

3. Special infections: Candida vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginitis are the most common causes of vulvar itching.

4. Vulvar squamous cell hyperplasia: The main symptom is severe itching, accompanied by whitening of the vulvar skin.

5. Drug allergy or chemical irritation: Soap, condoms, benzalkonium bromide, etc. can cause contact or allergic dermatitis due to direct irritation or allergy, resulting in symptoms such as vulvar itching.

Note:

Keep the vulva clean and dry, especially during menstruation, pregnancy and postpartum period, wash the vulva and change underwear every day. Do not wear synthetic underwear or tight pants, wear cotton underwear. When taking a local sitz bath, pay attention to the solution concentration, temperature, time, and precautions. People with vulvar itching should cut their nails and wash their hands frequently, and avoid scratching their skin to prevent ulceration and infection, which may lead to secondary bacterial infection. Do not use irritating soaps, medicines, or water that is too cold or too hot to clean the vulva, so as not to disrupt the acid-base balance of the vagina.

Health issues must be treated and handled with caution and seriousness. Problems with genital health should be taken seriously. Don't avoid going to the hospital for diagnosis, examination or treatment because of shyness or fear. You should put the overall situation first and make your physical health the primary consideration. After saying so much, I believe that friends have already had a basic understanding of what is going on when a small bump grows on the vulva.
