What are vulvar lumps?

Women are a group that has a very difficult life, because women often face more physical challenges than men, and have to face some gynecological diseases, which are the biggest threat to women. There are many gynecological diseases, and most women suffer from gynecological diseases to a greater or lesser extent, such as vulvar lumps, vulvar itching, etc. So, what are vulvar lumps? Let’s take a look at the explanation below.

Vulvar swelling is a common condition in women. The main manifestations of this type of disease are foreign body growth or swelling in the vulva, and some are accompanied by itching, pain, discomfort in walking and interference with sexual life. There are two common types of vulvar bumps:

Tumor-type lumps of this type mostly grow on the labia majora, but sometimes they grow on both labia majora and minora at the same time. These include: simple papilloma that resembles a pedunculated mushroom or cauliflower, fibroma with a hard texture and rough surface, slow-growing lipoma, sweat adenoma with nodular protrusions, red or blue spongy hemangioma, vulvar tumor with local itching, bleeding or ulceration, etc.

Sexually transmitted diseases: these lumps are mostly located in the perineum and vulva. Among them, genital warts are the most common. After this disease, which is transmitted through sexual intercourse, occurs, red or purple lumps may be seen in the genitals. They have an uneven surface, are soft in texture, and may be scattered or fused independently, resembling cauliflower in shape. There are also more serious local irritation symptoms, foul odor and bleeding, which make the entire genitals moist and soak the underwear. Scar tissue: If there is a history of vulvar injury or perineum incision during childbirth, large or small scar tissue may be left locally.

From the above explanation, the phenomenon of vulvar lumps is very harmful to women's bodies. Women tend to ignore it in their lives, which results in the development and deterioration of the lumps. When it comes to treatment, they often regret it. Therefore, women must seek medical attention in time if they find lumps in the vulva.
