What is uterine hypertrophy?

Uterine hypertrophy refers to the symmetrical enlargement of the uterus. The basic pathological changes of this disease are the changes in the smooth muscle cells and blood vessel walls in the uterine myometrium. The uterus is evenly enlarged, the myometrium is hypertrophic, the cross-section is gray or light pink, the strength is increased, the fiber bundles are arranged in a woven pattern, the arteries and veins are significantly enlarged, and the elastic fibers proliferate. A symptom accompanied by abnormal uterine bleeding of varying degrees. Uterine hypertrophy is a common gynecological disease in women, which is very puzzling to women. If uterine hypertrophy is not treated in time, it will cause many uterine diseases. So what is the cause of uterine hypertrophy? How should it be treated?

1. Women with ovarian obstruction will be continuously exposed to estrogen, which will cause the uterine myometrium to become hypertrophic. If it lasts for a long time, it will cause the uterus to enlarge.

2. If a woman has chronic uterine myositis, it will cause fibrosis in the uterine myometrium to proliferate, leading to uterine hypertrophy;

3. If there is blood accumulation in the female pelvis and it is not treated and drained in time, it will cause uterine hypertrophy;

4. The elastic fiber tissue in the uterine muscle layer of pregnant women proliferates between smooth muscles and around blood vessels, which will cause uterine hypertrophy.

5. Uterine hypertrophy caused by primary uterine cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease;

6. Suffering from uterine fibroids will cause the uterus to enlarge and become irregular in shape, and will continue to be accompanied by pain;

7. Multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding can also make the uterus larger and more symmetrical;

8. Long-term inflammation can cause cervical hematoma, edema, and hyperplasia of cervical glands and tissues, resulting in varying degrees of cervical hypertrophy.

Uterine hypertrophy is a type of chronic cervicitis. If it is mild cervical hypertrophy, it can be treated with vaginal suppositories, oral anti-cervicitis tablets, and regular follow-up visits. Simple hypertrophy is not likely to affect pregnancy. If not treated promptly, it will cause more serious cervicitis. Usually, we should also pay attention to the proper combination of diet therapy, which can play a role in regulating the body and controlling the disease.

Therefore, uterine hypertrophy is not a disease that only occurs in pregnant women, but also occurs in many women who have not given birth. During the treatment period, you are not allowed to have sex, pay attention to vaginal hygiene, get more rest, eat a light diet, and avoid greasy, spicy, and high-sugar foods.
