Let's learn about this knowledge below.

In recent years, several new drugs have appeared in the medical treatment of endometriosis, such as gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogs or agonists GnRH, such as: gohanrelin, Dabijia, etc.

1. Gomerelin: After taking the drug, the drug continues to act on the pituitary gland, such as binding to the GnRH receptors in the pituitary gland, continuously occupying the GnRH receptors and moving into the cells, resulting in a lack of cell membrane GnRH receptors, and the disappearance of the rhythmic secretion of pituitary FSH and LH, thereby inhibiting follicle development and ovulation. The blood estrogen level is significantly decreased and reaches the menopausal level. After long-term use, the ectopic endometrium atrophies.

Usage: Subcutaneous injection in the abdomen within the 1st to 5th day of menstruation, one vial once a month (3.75 mg x 6 months)

Adverse reactions: mainly menopausal symptoms caused by low estrogen levels, and osteoporosis caused by long-term (6 months) medication, requiring the addition of a small dose of estrogen - "add-back therapy" or "back-up therapy"

But the drug causes weight gain and damages liver function.

2. Mifepristone

Mifepristone is an anti-progesterone drug that acts at the receptor level. It blocks the transport of progesterone by binding to the conceptus, thereby inhibiting ovarian function, inducing amenorrhea, and causing atrophy of the ectopic endometrium.

Usage: Start taking from the first day of the menstrual cycle: 25 mg, once a day x 6 months.

Efficacy: Clinical observation and research have shown that the symptom relief rates of mifepristone and danazol in the treatment of endometriosis are both above 90%, with good efficacy.
