What causes small red spots in the vagina?

It is hot in summer and with high temperatures, vaginitis has become a common disease among women. Although the vagina is swollen and has red spots, it affects the harmony of the couple's sexual life, and gradually many women develop resistance and disgust towards sex. There are also many women who delay their treatment for fear of the embarrassment of seeing a doctor, not knowing that if inflammation is not treated in time it will also affect a woman's uterus and ovaries. So first let's understand what's going on.

Redness, swelling, pain and itching of the vulva in women are mostly caused by vulvitis or vaginitis.

Specifically, there are several reasons that lead to vulvar redness and swelling:

1. Vaginitis caused by tight crotch pants

This type of vaginitis is caused by women frequently wearing tight-crotch and hip-wrapped briefs and tight jeans. Because the pants are too tight and not breathable, vaginal secretions and sweat are not easily dissipated, which is conducive to bacterial reproduction and causes vaginitis.

2. Vaginitis during menarche in girls

The first menstruation of adolescent girls is called "menarche". Due to girls' shyness and vague understanding of menstruation, they often do not understand or pay attention to menstrual hygiene, and abuse unclean toilet paper, causing the vulva to be contaminated by unclean toilet paper, menstrual belts, and tampons. Bacteria take the opportunity to breed and invade, causing menarche vaginitis. The characteristic symptoms of this type of vaginitis are: a feeling of heaviness and burning in the perineum, increased vaginal discharge, and even purulent discharge. Due to the overflow of vaginal secretions, the urethra opening is stimulated, resulting in symptoms of frequent urination and painful urination.

3. Vaginitis in young girls

It is more common in little girls wearing open-crotch pants. The cause of the disease is that girls sit or crawl on the ground while playing, or stick their fingers directly into the vagina, or even place foreign objects, causing contamination of the vulva and vagina and inducing vaginitis. The main symptoms are redness and swelling of the vulva, watery discharge from the vagina, and vaginal burning or unbearable pain. It is recommended not to let girls wear open-crotch pants, wash their genitals with water every day, and change their pants frequently.

The editor reminds female friends that they should be aware that gynecological inflammation has a great impact on female reproductive health and should pay more attention to it. If you find yourself feeling unwell or suspect that you have a certain disease, you need to go to the hospital as soon as possible to avoid worsening of the disease and causing a series of injuries.
