Left abdominal pain after ovulation

Left abdominal pain after ovulation

Adult women not only have regular menstruation every month, but their uterus also regularly discharges a mature egg every month. If the mature egg meets and combines with the male sperm, it becomes a fertilized egg. Some women feel a dull pain in their left abdomen after ovulation. What is the reason for this? There are several reasons for abdominal pain after ovulation. Let’s take a closer look.

1. What is the reason for left lower abdominal pain during ovulation?

During a woman's menstrual cycle, only one egg will develop into a mature egg. During the development of the egg cell, not only does the size of the follicle increase and the amount of follicular fluid increase, but the follicle also gradually moves to the surface of the ovary and protrudes from the ovarian capsule. When the egg cell is fully developed and mature, the ovarian capsule will dissolve and rupture, the follicular fluid will be discharged, and the egg will be slowly squeezed out of the ovary. This is ovulation. Due to individual differences, the amount of follicular fluid discharged when each person's follicle ruptures is not exactly the same. If the follicular fluid is discharged in excess, after entering the pelvic cavity, it will stimulate the pelvic membrane and cause abdominal pain. This is the cause of the abdominal pain. Some people experience abdominal pain along with other symptoms such as lower back pain on the same side and soreness and discomfort in the lumbar region. If both ovaries ovulate alternately, abdominal pain will occur alternately on both sides of the lower abdomen every month. As for the fact that you have experienced this pain only after taking Chinese medicine, it may be because the effect of the medicine has made your follicles develop well and the fluid in the follicles has increased!

2. Since everyone's menstrual cycle is different, the answer to how many days after menstruation is the ovulation period will also be different. However, you can calculate the ovulation period according to this formula:

1. For women with relatively stable menstrual periods: It is generally the 14th day before the next menstrual period. The 5 days before this day, including this day and the 4 days after this day, are called the ovulation period. In other words, the ovulation period of an average woman is ten days.

For example, suppose a woman has a regular menstrual cycle of 30 days. The first day of this menstruation is June 25th, so the next menstruation will come on July 25th, and the ovulation day will be 14 days before July 25th, which is July 11th. The 5 days before ovulation are July 6th, and the 4 days after ovulation are July 15th, so the ovulation period is from July 6th to July 15th. How many days after menstruation is the ovulation period? Just subtract the date when this menstruation ends from July 6th. For example, if this menstruation starts on June 25 and ends on June 30, then the ovulation period is 6 days after the menstruation.

2. If the menstrual cycle is unstable, the ovulation period can be calculated in this way: the first day of ovulation = the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days, the last day of ovulation = the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days. The calculation method is to take the first day of menstruation as the base point and count the days backwards.
