What causes pain in the vagina?

The vagina is an organ unique to women. If you don't take good care of it, various problems will often arise, such as vaginal itching and pain. Now many people report that they don’t seem to feel anything at ordinary times, but when they make love with their husbands, they feel extreme pain in their vagina, and in severe cases they dare not have sex. What is the cause of this?

Cervicitis

Cervicitis is an inflammation of the cervix caused by bacterial infection. It often occurs after frequent sexual intercourse, childbirth, miscarriage or surgical injury, when bacteria invade the wound. Cervicitis can be divided into acute and chronic types. Acute cervicitis is often accompanied by acute endometritis and acute vaginitis, which manifests as increased vaginal discharge and lower abdominal pain. In severe cases, symptoms such as low back pain and fatigue may also occur. Chronic cervicitis is characterized by increased vaginal discharge, which is milky white mucus or light yellow purulent fluid, and worsens during sexual intercourse. Gynecological examination may reveal cervical erosion, hypertrophy, or cervical polyps, lacerations, etc.

Vaginal dryness

For example, when some women lack sexual interest due to fatigue or health reasons, and have no passion and have to deal with it reluctantly, their sexual response is relatively slow and vaginal dryness will occur. This is called psychological vaginal dryness. Most vaginal dryness is a physiological problem. The reason is that estrogen levels will affect the blood flow to the vaginal tissue and the pH value in the vagina, which in turn affects the normal secretion of secretions.

Urethral caruncle

Although urethral caruncle is not a serious disease, its incidence rate is quite high. It can cause pain during sexual intercourse, and often also cause discomfort such as urinary pain and local burning sensation during urination. The consequence is pain during intercourse, sometimes bleeding, secondary bacterial infection, and a disharmony in the couple's sexual life.

Once you feel vaginal pain during sexual intercourse, you should see a doctor immediately. If you have a certain disease, you should seek timely treatment. After treatment, the above symptoms will no longer occur. If the above symptoms occur and you are too embarrassed to see a doctor, the condition will often become more and more serious, thus affecting the harmony of your married life.
