Why do women have less menstrual flow?

Generally speaking, a small amount of menstrual flow depends on each person's physical condition. Some people don't have much menstrual flow, but if other aspects are normal and the cycle is regular, then it's not a big deal. However, if the amount of menstrual flow suddenly becomes less, it may be that there are some problems with the body. It should not be neglected and should be taken seriously. If it does not improve, it is recommended to go to the hospital for examination.

Specific circumstances of oligomenorrhea: the menstrual cycle is basically normal, but the menstrual flow is significantly reduced, or even just a few drops; or the menstrual period is shortened to less than two days, and the menstrual flow is also light, both of which are called "oligomenorrhea". Small menstrual flow is often accompanied by late menstruation and weight gain. If it occurs during adolescence or childbearing age, it may develop into amenorrhea, and if it occurs during menopause, it often leads to menopause. Small menstrual flow may be due to dysfunctional uterine bleeding, polycystic ovary syndrome, premature ovarian failure, or uterine adhesions after abortion. There are also individual differences, that is, after menarche, the menstrual flow is always very small, but ovulation and reproductive functions are normal.

1. There is congenital dysplasia, a small uterus, thin endometrium, and little menstrual flow.

2. If you suffer from hyperthyroidism, metabolic disorders, obesity, endocrine disorders and too little menstruation.

3. Due to work stress, excessive fatigue, irregular sex, feeling cold, etc.

4. Long-term use of contraceptives, or artificial abortion, damage to the endometrium, tuberculosis, etc. can cause local damage.

If the menstrual volume is less than 30 ml, it means that the menstruation is too little. There are many reasons for this situation, such as: taking birth control pills recently or being in a bad mood recently, etc., which may affect the menstruation. It is best to maintain a stable mood and not be depressed all day long. It is recommended not to take birth control pills. You can take other contraceptive methods, and there will be improvement after a period of time.
