What causes pain in the girl's lower left abdomen?

Abdominal pain seems to be a common thing for women, and girls with dysmenorrhea experience abdominal pain more frequently. However, the causes of pain in the lower left abdomen of women are not limited to dysmenorrhea, but can also be caused by a variety of pathological reasons. You should be more vigilant if you have unexplained abdominal pain. Girls, how much do you know about the causes of abdominal pain in your body? Let’s learn more about it with the editor.

Causes of pain in the left lower abdomen of women 1: Dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea is divided into primary and secondary types. Primary dysmenorrhea is more common in uterine hypoplasia, stenosis of the cervical opening or cervical canal, and excessive uterine curvature, which make menstrual blood flow out poorly and cause menstrual blood retention, thereby stimulating uterine contraction and causing dysmenorrhea. Secondary dysmenorrhea is often caused by pelvic inflammation, tumors or endometriosis.

Cause 2 of pain in the lower left abdomen of women: ovarian cyst torsion

Ovarian cysts are caused by the acidification of body tissue fluids. Body cells are placed in acidic body fluids, which results in a decrease in the amount of dissolved oxygen in normal body cells. This causes a decrease in cell activity and a slowdown in metabolic cycles. When the amount drops to 65% of the normal value, normal cells cannot survive. However, there are also cells that actively mutate by changing their chromosomes. The cell phenotype changes, and tumor traits are expressed. These cells proliferate rapidly, thus forming a true tumor entity.

Reason 3 for pain in the lower left abdomen of women: rupture of corpus luteum cyst

In the early stage of corpus luteum cyst formation, corpus luteum cells still exist and are rich in lipids. Only the inner layer of the cyst wall is fibrotic, and luteinized granulosa cells and theca cells can be seen, with or without blood in the cyst. In the later stage, the cyst wall is fibrotic with varying degrees of hyaline changes. Because the cyst continues to secrete progesterone, the menstrual cycle is often delayed. If the cyst ruptures, abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding may occur, which is very similar to the rupture of an ectopic pregnancy.

There are many causes of abdominal pain in women, so once you have frequent abdominal pain, you should be more vigilant and don't always ignore these minor illnesses and pains. Minor illnesses and pains that you don't pay attention to in normal times may become the fuse for serious illness.
