Why does a woman's urethra hurt?

In real life, more and more diseases are plaguing female friends. Due to the lack of knowledge in this area, or some female friends do not take it seriously, or take it seriously but do not understand it, they will rush to seek medical treatment and delay the treatment, and some even miss the best time for treatment. Next, let’s talk about what urethral pain in women is. We hope it will be helpful to our female friends and allow you to detect and treat it early.

In the human excretory system, the kidneys are where urine is produced, the ureters are like the excretory system, the bladder is like the catchment area upstream of the urinary tract, and the urethra is like the downstream of the urinary tract, which can excrete urine out of the body.

However, the length of the female urethra is shorter than that of the male urethra, and it is adjacent to the vagina, so bacteria can easily flow upstream, especially after sexual intercourse. This is why "honeymoon cystitis" is caused.

Normally, the entire surface of the human urinary tract is covered with a layer of mucus like a protective film, which can inhibit bacteria from attaching to it and invading the tissue. Because the woman's vagina is close to the intestines and anus, many large intestine bacteria will also enter the vagina and do evil. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the vaginal mucosa will breed many resident bacteria-Lactobacillus, making the vagina acidic to inhibit the invasion of foreign bacteria. When these natural defense functions are congenitally deficient or acquiredly changed, women will be prone to vaginal or urinary tract infections. These changes include:

1. Obstruction of urine excretion: such as tumors or stones blocking the urinary tract; cystocele changes the structure and function of the urinary tract.

2. Changes in vaginal bacteria: caused by the use of contraceptive spermicides, abuse of antibiotics, and hormone deficiency in menopausal women.

3. Destroy the mucus protective layer of the urinary tract: such as urinary tract instrument surgery or catheterization.

The above are some of the causes of urethral pain in women. I hope they will be helpful to you. If you really find yourself suffering from urethral pain, you should go to a regular hospital for examination in time, don't panic, and it is important to keep a happy mood. Many facts show that a happy mood is very helpful in the treatment of diseases. Finally, I wish you good health soon!
