How many days after menstruation ends can you get pregnant?

Some couples are eager to have a baby and want to get pregnant in the shortest possible time, so they are keen on sex all day long, but often things go against their wishes and they even doubt each other's "ability". In fact, a woman can only become pregnant if she is fertilized during ovulation. So what we want to ask is when will a woman ovulate? How do we know if we are in the ovulation period? The following editor will introduce you to the relevant knowledge about female ovulation.

Generally, we calculate the ovulation period as about 14 days before the next menstruation. After the egg is released from the ovary, it can survive in the fallopian tube for 1-2 days to wait for fertilization; the male's sperm can maintain fertilization ability for 2-3 days in the female's reproductive tract, so it is easy to get pregnant by having sex a few days before and after the egg is released. To be on the safe side, we call the 5 days before and 4 days after ovulation, together with the ovulation day, a total of 10 days, the ovulation period.

There are two ways to know your ovulation day:

1. Schedule calculation method

Generally speaking, a woman's ovulation day is 12-16 days (14 days on average) before the next menstrual period. The specific date can be calculated using the calendar extrapolation method. The main method is to calculate the fertile and infertile periods in the current cycle based on the records of more than 12 previous menstrual cycles. The formula is as follows:

1) The shortest cycle in the past - 19 = the last day of the infertile period before ovulation. The next day is the first day of the fertile period.

2) The longest cycle in the past - 10 = the last day of the fertile period after ovulation. This way you can calculate the exact date of your fertile period.

Women with normal menstrual periods usually have a cycle of 28 days. Women can calculate their schedule based on their menstrual patterns.

2. Basic body temperature measurement method

Generally speaking, a woman's basal body temperature will suddenly drop on the day of ovulation, and then rise by 0.3-0.5 degrees compared to the basal body temperature in the next few days.

There is no way to give a specific answer to whether you can get pregnant within a few days after your period ends. I hope these references given by the editor can be of some help to you. If you want to have a baby as soon as possible, then relax your mind, pay attention to the regularity and health of your daily life, and combine it with your ovulation day, then having your own baby as soon as possible is not a distant thing.
