Time and method of clinical diagnosis of early pregnancy

The so-called early pregnancy generally refers to the period before 13 weeks of pregnancy. During this period, the embryo in the abdomen changes dramatically, and many female friends only discover that they are pregnant about 6 weeks after their menstruation stops. There are some typical symptoms of early pregnancy, such as fear of cold or dizziness, fatigue or drowsiness. In addition, some women in early pregnancy may have a poor appetite. Therefore, clinical diagnosis of early pregnancy can be made preliminarily based on these symptoms.

Of course, there are some very professional examination methods for clinical diagnosis of early pregnancy. For example, a gynecological speculum examination is performed to understand the condition of the vagina and cervix, rule out abnormal development of the pregnant woman's reproductive organs, and provide a channel for the baby to be born smoothly; observe whether the vaginal mucosa is congested, whether the color and amount of vaginal secretions are normal, and whether there is any odor.

Clinical diagnosis of early pregnancy can also be made through ultrasound examination, which can be performed 40 and 60 days after menstruation to understand the implantation site of the embryonic sac and the development of the embryo. Obstetric registration examination was performed 4 months after pregnancy, and ultrasound follow-up was performed according to obstetric requirements.

In addition to these tests, there are other ways to clinically diagnose early pregnancy, the most common of which is through pregnancy test strips. This type of examination can usually provide a preliminary diagnosis about 7 days after a woman becomes pregnant. This test uses human chorionic gonadotropin as the basis for the test. Because human chorionic gonadotropin can be found in a woman's urine 7 days after she becomes pregnant, it is possible to determine whether she is pregnant early by testing the presence of this hormone with a pregnancy test paper.
