What can be seen in ultrasound at 42 days of pregnancy

Now with the continuous development of medicine, many female friends need to go to the hospital regularly for detailed examinations during pregnancy. In this way, they can know whether their fetus is healthy and has any disease. Especially in the late pregnancy, they must pay more attention to their body and do relevant prenatal examinations. So what can be seen from the B-ultrasound at 42 days of pregnancy?

4 weeks: The fetus is only 0.2 cm. The amniotic cavity is formed just after the fertilized egg has implanted and its volume is very small. Ultrasound cannot show clear signs of pregnancy.

5 weeks: The fetus grows to 0.4 cm and enters the embryonic period. The amniotic cavity expands and primitive cardiovascular system appears, which may beat. B-ultrasound can show a small gestational sac, which occupies less than 1/4 of the uterine cavity, or a fetal bud can be seen.

6 weeks: The fetus grows to 0.85 cm. The head, brain alveoli, facial organs, respiratory, digestive, and nervous organs are differentiated. The fetal sac is clearly visible on B-ultrasound, and the fetal bud and fetal heartbeat are seen.

Judging from the size of the gestational period, the pregnancy is already 35 days.

Nowadays, weeks are generally counted from the last day of menstruation, with seven days in a week and four weeks in a month. The total pregnancy period is forty weeks, or 280 days.

The specific number of days of pregnancy should be based on B-ultrasound, which can accurately calculate the expected date of delivery.

Generally, the fetal heartbeat can be heard in the seventh week of pregnancy. It is recommended that you do an ultrasound in the eighth week to listen to the fetal heartbeat and see if it is an ectopic pregnancy or hydatidiform mole.

It is normal to have no fetal heartbeat now, you don't need to worry. As for counting weeks, I personally think it is more accurate to start counting from the week after the last menstrual period. You have counted it as 42 days, minus 7 days. Now it should be the 5th week, 35 days.

Generally speaking, it is only during the 6th to 8th week of pregnancy that B-ultrasound examination can show fetal activity and fetal heartbeat, which can confirm early pregnancy. It can also be delayed due to irregular menstrual cycle and late implantation of fertilized eggs.

Generally, it takes 6 weeks to detect the gestational sac from the last menstrual period. If it is not seen, it is recommended to recheck the ultrasound after 7 days. However, you should pay attention to the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. It will take another 8-10 weeks to see the primitive heart tube beat.

The above article introduces in detail what can be seen from the B-ultrasound at 42 days of pregnancy. In fact, doing relevant prenatal examinations is responsible for your baby. In this way, you can know whether your baby is developing well, whether he has other diseases, and adverse reactions.
