Why do I have breast pain before my period?

Some women experience bleeding and breast pain before their period, and this may last for several days. Why does this happen? If breast pain occurs frequently, could it be that there is something wrong with your body? A detailed analysis of the cause is needed to find a solution. So what is the reason for breast pain before menstruation? The following briefly introduces several causes, and I hope female friends can pay enough attention to it.

Generally speaking, breast pain three days before menstruation may be a sign that menstruation is about to come or that there is early pregnancy, which is normal. However, some people experience breast pain too early, such as breast pain after menstruation ends or after ovulation, and it hurts when they put on underwear or touch it. This phenomenon is pathological and must be treated as soon as possible, otherwise it is easy to develop gynecological diseases such as infertility and breast tumors.

Many infertile women have long-term breast pain. Their estrogen and progesterone are often unbalanced, and prolactin is also abnormally secreted. There are also many breast tumor patients who had breast pain 2 to 3 years before they developed the tumor but did not pay attention to it. Therefore, women who have abnormal breast pain should be alert and avoid seeking medical attention in order to avoid delaying the disease.

Most cases of premenstrual breast pain occur 3 to 5 days before menstruation. In severe cases, the pain may occur two weeks after menstruation, around the time of ovulation. Some people experience pain in the armpits or even in the nipples. Systemic symptoms include mild edema, headache, insomnia, irritability, emotional instability, back pain, lower abdominal pain, and difficulty in defecation. The symptoms disappear after the menstrual period, and this happens repeatedly, once a month. If not properly treated, they will become more and more serious. Over time, they can easily lead to other diseases, the most common of which are breast hyperplasia, breast fibroid tumors or cysts. As a result, menstruation gradually becomes irregular, with scanty menstrual flow and subsequent infertility.

There are many different situations in which women experience breast pain before their menstrual period. Although it is normal for most women, there are a small number of women who suffer from long-term breast pain and do not receive timely treatment, thus missing the best time for treatment, leading to more serious consequences. If you experience breast pain, you should seek medical attention immediately without delay.
