What should women do if they have excessive vaginal discharge?

Leucorrhea is a secretion from the female vagina, which is a signal reflecting the female gynecological condition. When the amount of vaginal discharge increases or decreases, it is necessary to pay attention. As long as the color, smell, amount of discharge, etc. of the vaginal discharge are different from usual, it is very likely that the woman is infected with a gynecological disease, so women need to pay attention to it. When the leucorrhea is abnormal, a gynecological examination should be performed, such as a leucorrhea examination.

1. First of all, the occurrence of candidal vaginitis is generally a disease caused by Candida albicans infection. Generally speaking, if women do not maintain good local hygiene or their underwear is often damp, they will gradually be infected with candidal vaginitis, which sometimes leads to increased leucorrhea, odor, vulvar itching, and in severe cases, it can even cause infertility.

2. For the treatment of vaginitis, different types of vaginitis have different treatment methods. For candidal vaginitis, the doctor prescribed oral medications for me, including nystatin and metronidazole. Topical medications include soda solution and 1% lactic acid solution or acetic acid solution. In addition, the doctor prescribed me 4 tablets of metronidazole, which can be placed directly into the vagina for treatment.

3. Excessive leucorrhea should be treated symptomatically, because there are many types of vaginitis, such as bacterial vaginitis, candidal vaginitis or Trichomonas vaginitis, etc. The causes are different and the treatments are also different. My attending physician told me that many friends blindly use medication to treat abnormal leucorrhea, which eventually makes the condition worse and eventually they have to replace the vaginal environment to treat the disease. This is something that many doctors do not want to see in clinical practice.

When a woman's vaginal discharge increases, she should go to the hospital for a gynecological examination immediately. Check out vaginitis, adnexitis, endometritis, cervical erosion and other gynecological diseases early, and then treat these diseases accordingly. Therefore, it is very important to take care of women's private parts, and you must pay attention to the hygiene and cleanliness of the private parts.
