What are the side effects of freezing cervical erosion?

Diseases such as cervical erosion often occur in married women or women who have sexual lives. Some patients have mild cervical erosion and do not need treatment. If it is severe cervical erosion, it should be taken seriously. There are many medical methods to treat this type of disease, such as medication or physical therapy, and another type is cryotherapy. So what are the side effects of freezing cervical erosion?

The first one:

The cryotherapy method for cervical erosion uses a special liquid nitrogen refrigerator to reduce the temperature of the "probe" of the treatment device to -196℃, freezing the cervical erosion tissue, causing necrosis and shedding, and then replacing it with new squamous epithelium. This method is generally not very painful. Very few patients have a transient drop in blood pressure, a few have dizziness, lower back pain, and watery leucorrhea after treatment.

The following points should be noted when performing cryotherapy: (1) It is best to perform the procedure within 3-7 days after menstruation to reduce the chance of bleeding and infection. (2) A cervical scraping should be performed before treatment to confirm that there is no cervical cancer or suspected malignant changes before treatment can be performed. (3) Pay attention to the hygiene of the vulva before treatment. For those with acute or chronic vulvar or vaginitis, they should be thoroughly treated before undergoing cervical cryotherapy. (4) Those with heart disease or other serious diseases should be cautious. (5) In order to prevent wound infection and scab shedding and bleeding after treatment, do not have sexual intercourse, vaginal irrigation or sitz baths. (6) After treatment, regular follow-up examinations should be conducted as required by the doctor to observe the healing of the wound after cryotherapy.

Second type:

Cervical erosion itself can cause bleeding secretions. Now there are still bloodshot after drug treatment. This is considered a normal phenomenon and can be treated with medication.
