Why does candidiasis occur?

Vaginitis is probably the most common disease among women. I believe everyone is very troubled by this problem. So how can we detect candidal vaginitis? There are many types of vaginitis, and fungal vaginitis seems to account for a large proportion. What is this? How is candidal vaginitis transmitted? Could it be transmitted from my husband?

A common fungal vaginitis is "Candidal vaginitis". 10% of non-pregnant women and 30% of pregnant women have vaginal Candida parasites. The disease does not usually occur, but when the infection occurs, the typical symptom is vulvar itching. The itching symptoms of the patient may be mild or severe, and may occur from time to time. When the itching is severe, the patient may be restless and have difficulty sleeping and eating. When the inflammation is severe, urination pain and sexual intercourse pain may also occur.

So why does candidal vaginitis occur?

1. Since the vagina of mature women is connected to the outside world, there are usually many pathogens including Candida in the vagina, maintaining a balance. When the body's resistance is reduced or antibiotics are used excessively, mold begins to multiply and do whatever it wants. Its spread and recurrence are indeed closely related to sexual activity, and it is also one of the sexually transmitted diseases. However, since Candida exists in the human oral, intestinal and vaginal mucosa, the Candida in these three parts can be transmitted to each other. Therefore, indirect contact is also a transmission route of candidal vaginitis.

2. Since the moist environment of the female vagina is more suitable for the growth and reproduction of bacteria, and the male genitals are relatively dry, it is difficult to find Candida in this environment. However, if one party has an acute Candida infection, it is easy to cross-infect each other through sexual intercourse.

Candidal vaginitis is mainly caused by infection, so it can be seen how important it is to avoid infection and maintain personal hygiene. Not only should we maintain our own hygiene habits, but we should also urge and monitor each other's hygiene conditions, otherwise it is easy to cause mutual infection, which will recur and be difficult to cure.
