Can I get pregnant by having sex after my period is over?

Many people are confused about whether they can get pregnant if they have sex after their period. Some people insist that they will not get pregnant, while others are still skeptical. In fact, pregnancy and ovulation are closely related, so we usually calculate the ovulation period based on menstruation. So, how do we calculate the ovulation period? Is the time after menstruation always the ovulation period?

According to the normal female menstrual cycle, a woman's ovulation period usually begins about 14 days before her period. Both menstruation and ovulation are affected by endocrine hormones from the brain to the pituitary gland and ovaries, which is why they begin to show cyclical changes. The length of the cycles of the two are roughly the same, with one cycle each month, and ovulation usually occurs in the middle of two menstrual periods. The approximate time of 5 days before and 4 days after menstruation, including the ovulation day, a total of about 10 days is called the ovulation period.

If you start having sex right after your period ends, the chance of getting pregnant is actually lower than if you wait about 10 days, but it does not mean you will never get pregnant. Because sometimes, some women have irregular ovulation or menstruation, so if they start having sex at this time, there is still a chance of pregnancy. In addition, having sex right after the menstruation ends can easily cause ascending infection of gynecological inflammation, as the woman's endometrium has not yet fully recovered and the uterine cavity is still congested. Therefore, it is generally recommended to wait for about 3 days after the menstrual period ends before considering whether you need to have sex. ?

In fact, whether your period has just ended or you have passed the so-called safe period of pregnancy, you still need to pay attention to safe behavior in your daily life. No matter what, don't think it doesn't matter and don't care. Women must take good care of their bodies and not let their precious bodies be damaged because of temporary carelessness.
