What causes blood in women’s stool?

Many women have irregular diets and are under great pressure in life, especially some office workers who sit and do not exercise every day, which can easily lead to bleeding during bowel movements. When encountering this phenomenon, most women panic and don’t know what to do. The following editor has compiled some reasons for women’s bleeding stools, which I hope will be of some reference value to you.

Anorectal experts point out that there are many reasons for blood in the stool, but basically all gastrointestinal bleeding can cause blood in the stool, but the common causes are:

① Upper gastrointestinal bleeding (see hematemesis).

② Small intestinal bleeding, such as intestinal tuberculosis, localized enteritis, acute hemorrhagic necrotizing enteritis, small intestinal tumors, intussusception, etc.

③Colon bleeding, such as dysentery, ulcerative colitis, regional enteritis, colon cancer, etc.

④ Rectal bleeding, such as rectal cancer, rectal damage, hemorrhoids, anal fissure, etc.

⑤ Other diseases, such as various blood diseases, hemorrhagic fever, typhoid and paratyphoid, hookworm disease, vitamin deficiency, etc.

What does it mean when women have bleeding in their stool? Look at the color of the blood in the stool. The color of blood in stool is determined by two factors: the location of gastrointestinal bleeding and the speed. Upper gastrointestinal bleeding and small intestinal bleeding are mostly dark red or black stools, which are often shiny because they are covered with a thin layer of mucus. However, if the bleeding rate is fast, the amount of bleeding is large, and the intestinal motility is accelerated, the blood may be dark red or bright red.

When bleeding occurs in the colon and rectum, bright red or brighter red blood in the stool is often discharged because the blood stays in the intestine for a shorter time. Bleeding in the right colon, blood is often mixed with stool, and "jam-like" bloody stools may be excreted. Bleeding from the rectum and sigmoid colon, with blood often attached to the surface of the stool. Acute massive blood in the stool, the patient may experience acute hemorrhagic anemia and acute peripheral circulatory insufficiency.

When there is blood in the stool, it is necessary to actively seek treatment, but what should be paid more attention to is that you should take care of yourself in your daily life, control your diet, do not eat greasy food often, it is best to eat light food, and regularize your lifestyle, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of bleeding in the stool.
