What is the reason for the brown discharge?

Many female friends will have some abnormal leucorrhea or brown leucorrhea. Normal leucorrhea is relatively clear in color and most of the time it is the same as egg white. When there is something abnormal in the body, some symptoms will also appear, such as burning and itching in the genitals. When there is some brown secretion in our lower body, what should we do?

I personally think that the brown discharge is a small amount of old endometrial exfoliation bleeding. This situation will not occur after the normal menstruation is over as the follicles grow and the estrogen level increases.

If your menstruation is always irregular, you should first see a doctor to get a clear diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome as soon as possible and receive symptomatic treatment.

If the amount of leucorrhea is not much, the color is milky white, egg white-like, and has a slightly fishy smell, but there is no discomfort, then it is physiological leucorrhea.

If the leucorrhea is excessive and becomes yellow, purulent, or even bloody, it is pathological. If the vaginal discharge is grayish yellow, foamy, and has a fishy odor, and is accompanied by vulvar itching, burning, pain, and cramping, it is usually caused by Trichomonas vaginitis.

The leucorrhea is off-white, like tofu dregs or curds, and sometimes has a foul odor and is accompanied by vulvar itching and burning pain, which is mostly caused by candidal vaginitis;

Leucorrhea is yellow or yellow-green in color and has a foul smell, like rice soup or pus. It is mostly caused by purulent bacterial infection, such as chronic cervicitis, senile vaginitis and endometritis.

Leucorrhea contains blood and is reddish brown or dark brown in color. This is called bloody leucorrhea, which is more common in severe cervical erosion, cervical polyps, submucosal fibroids, and cervical cancer.

Leucorrhea is mainly some secretions discharged from the vagina. Normal women's vagina will discharge some white secretions without odor. Its main function is to lubricate the vaginal wall. Generally speaking, it will be more abundant during the ovulation period before and after the menstrual period, or during pregnancy. If there are no other symptoms, then no treatment is needed.
