For women, the happiest things are pregnancy and marriage, but some people are also very worried about such situations. Everyone hopes that their baby can grow up healthily in their uterus, and some people worry that they will have an ectopic pregnancy. In fact, some women have a very high chance of experiencing intrauterine or ectopic pregnancy, so we need to understand the causes of this disease. The uterus is like a house with three "doors" connecting to the outside world. One is the "cervical opening" that connects to the vagina, and the other two are the "fallopian tube openings" that are symmetrical on both sides, each connecting to the abdominal cavity through a long tube. Thousands of sperm enter the "house" through the cervix, and without even having time to take a look, they rush towards a tube opening where a beautiful "girl" is waiting for them. Many sperms sacrifice themselves on the way, and the fastest, or the best one or two sperms win the heart of the "girl". They meet and fuse together in this narrow tube to form a new life (fertilized egg). When the "new life" walks out of the tube and finds the big house of the uterus, it will settle down and grow up here, become a beautiful newborn, and then push open the door of the cervix and come into the world. If the new life (fertilized egg) grows larger than the size of the cervical opening because the tube is too long or moves too slowly, it will not be able to enter the uterus and can only settle outside the uterus (ectopic pregnancy). In addition, if the tube is injured and narrowed, the baby will not be able to enter the uterus smoothly, which will also cause an ectopic pregnancy. The most reliable way to determine whether the uterus is intrauterine or extrauterine is pelvic ultrasonography. Under normal circumstances, the embryo's primitive heart tube fluctuations can be seen through ultrasound at 6 weeks of pregnancy, confirming intrauterine pregnancy. But many expectant fathers and mothers are very anxious and want to know early whether the child has run away from the uterus. The doctor will test the pregnant woman's blood HCG and progesterone. If the doubling time of blood HCG is more than 7 days, the possibility of ectopic pregnancy is high; if the progesterone is greater than 25ng/ml, the probability of ectopic pregnancy is less than 1.5%. Every baby in the womb may have many similarities, but every little naughty one outside the womb is different. Even for the "little rascals", we can remove them through chemotherapy and laparoscopic surgery, and most mothers can still get pregnant with healthy babies again. Once we find that we have an intrauterine or ectopic pregnancy, we must take it seriously. It is best to discover it during pregnancy, because only early detection can allow us to receive treatment as soon as possible, so that we can avoid some of the bad harm caused by ectopic pregnancy and better ensure the health of pregnant women and babies. |
