The main causes of immune infertility are as follows:

1. Anti-sperm immunity and female infertility: When sperm antigens enter the female reproductive tract, they will cause local and systemic immune responses, produce anti-sperm antibodies, and cause sperm immobilization or death, resulting in infertility.

2. Cervical immune infertility: It is one of the causes of female immune infertility. When sperm and its antigens are phagocytosed by macrophages and intraepithelial Langhans cells in the vagina and cervix, the sperm antigens react with helper lymphocytes to induce and activate the production of immune active cells. The latter is transported to the reproductive tract through the blood to kill sperm and reduce sperm survival rate.

3. Anti-zona pellucida antibodies: The reason for female immune infertility is that anti-zona pellucida antibodies will cover the sperm receptors located on the zona pellucida, making it impossible for sperm to recognize its own receptors and thus unable to combine with the egg, thus causing female infertility.

4. Excessive sexual intercourse: Excessive sexual intercourse may also lead to immune infertility. Women who have sexual intercourse too frequently are frequently and repeatedly exposed to their husbands' sperm and semen. Sperm and semen contain a variety of proteins. When these heterosexual proteins are absorbed by the female reproductive tract as antigens, they can easily stimulate the body to produce anti-sperm antibodies, thereby inducing female immune infertility.
