Female lower back and knee pain

Female lower back and knee pain

Regardless of whether you are male or female, young or old, almost everyone has had back pain before or has suffered from it. Generally speaking, back pain in the elderly is mostly due to osteoporosis; back pain in children is mostly due to fatigue; back pain in men is mostly due to kidney disease; and back pain in women is mostly due to gynecological diseases. The editor will share with you these gynecological diseases that may cause low back pain.

Women's knee pain

There are many possible causes of knee pain, such as excessive activity and intense exercise, synovitis, which usually occurs in younger women. For older women who experience knee pain, it may be due to knee osteoarthritis and degenerative changes in the kneecap. It is related to knee-weight-bearing activities such as wearing high heels, mountain climbing, and climbing stairs.

What gynecological disease may cause lower back pain in women

1. Pelvic inflammatory disease

The pelvis is the female internal reproductive organs and the surrounding connective tissue, including the male reproductive organs (uterus, bilateral fallopian tubes, uterus and ovaries), the retroperitoneum of the pelvis, and the connective tissue around the uterus. Located in the lower abdomen of women, when the pelvis is inflamed, symptoms such as hematoma and edema will occur. This condition can compress the lumbar sacral nerves, causing a feeling of pressure and pain in the lower back. In addition, if you suffer from pelvic inflammatory disease, there will be a lot of yellow leucorrhea, and the leucorrhea will have an odor. Everyone can make a comprehensive judgment based on their own situation.

2. Adnexitis

The uterine appendages are the female reproductive organs. The bilateral fallopian tubes and ovaries on the upper and lower sides of the female uterus are collectively referred to as "uterine appendages", commonly known as "appendages". Adnexitis can cause congestion in women's pelvis and adhesion of pelvic organs, resulting in lower abdominal pain and back pain. It is also accompanied by symptoms such as excessive leucorrhea and menstrual disorders. This symptom is often aggravated during menstruation or after fatigue.

3. Endometritis

The uterine wall refers to the layer that makes up the inner cavity of the uterus of mammals. It responds to both estrogen and oestrogen, and thus can produce noticeable changes along with the sexual cycle. Women with endometritis may experience lower abdominal pain and back pain during intermittent menstruation.

4. Cervical Tumor

Uterine fibroids generally do not cause pain, but when the tumor nerves are damaged or tumor cells invade the pelvis, they may cause back pain. The clinical symptoms of uterine fibroids also include irregular menstruation, excessive leucorrhea, lower abdominal lumps and discomfort.

5. Abnormal position of the uterus

If the uterus becomes loose or droopy, it can easily lead to adhesion of the uterus and surrounding inflammation, which can cause low back pain. This type of abnormal uterine position is common in frequent abortions, multiple births, or after other hysterectomies. If a woman has a complaint, she can make a comprehensive judgment based on her own experience.

6. Improper placement of the IUD

When the contraceptive ring does not fit the uterine cavity, is too elastic or is in an abnormal position, it will cause the contraceptive ring to be inserted into the uterus, thereby irritating the endometrium and causing our lumbar pain. This situation often occurs in women who have just had an IUD inserted, so if you have just had an IUD inserted within 3 months, your back pain is likely caused by the IUD.
