Ductal carcinoma in situ

Ductal carcinoma in situ

The full name of breast carcinoma in situ is breast carcinoma in situ. It has great side effects. If the disease is delayed, it can easily pose a threat to the patient's life. Survival after illness is a concern for many patients. So, is the survival rate of hose carcinoma in situ high?

The survival rate of breast carcinoma in situ is closely related to the patient's histological grade and actual symptoms. If the patient is diagnosed with the disease early, the tumor cells are highly differentiated, and the tumor volume is relatively small, then after standard scientific systematic treatment, the condition of most patients can be effectively controlled, and the 5-year survival rate is very high, reaching more than 95%. However, if the patient's condition is discovered late, and the tumor cells are at a low level of differentiation and have already spread and migrated, then the difficulty of treatment will be very great, and the patient's survival rate will be greatly reduced. Many patients will die after a few months to many years of illness.

For diseases such as breast carcinoma in situ, if the condition is in the early stages and the tumor cells are at a low level of differentiation, we can simply perform surgery to remove the tumor by one centimeter in each direction. However, for patients in the middle and late stages, we should carry out adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery to minimize the chance of recurrence. However, radiotherapy and chemotherapy have a great impact on the human body and may cause serious side effects to patients. Therefore, patients should be fully prepared for tumor radiotherapy and pay attention to post-treatment medical care to alleviate the impact of radiotherapy and chemotherapy on the human body.

Because the actual condition of each breast carcinoma in situ patient is different and the degree of differentiation of tumor cells is different, the survival rate of each patient is also different. For this type of disease, we should follow the principle of early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment, go to the hospital for surgery as soon as possible, and actively carry out follow-up treatment, so as to reduce the probability of disease as much as possible and prevent the metastasis and recurrence of the disease.
