What to do if women often feel dizzy

In daily life, many women will encounter dizziness problems. Sometimes it is caused by lack of sleep, and they feel dizzy and can't do anything the next day. Some are because they feel dizzy when they suddenly stand up after sitting for a long time. Usually this situation can be solved after a while. Others are often caused by high blood pressure problems. This problem requires medication. So what should women do if they often feel dizzy?

1. Side effects of drugs: Antidepressants such as ACE inhibitors for high blood pressure and amitriptyline can lower blood pressure and induce dizziness. Natasha Stewart, an expert at the British Heart Association, said that some heart patients will become dehydrated and feel dizzy when taking diuretics. Sedatives depress the central nervous system, slowing down brain activity, and are also a major factor causing vertigo.

2. Iron deficiency: Fatigue and weakness are the main symptoms of anemia. Due to iron deficiency in the body, the red blood cells decrease, the oxygen-carrying capacity of hemoglobin decreases, and the brain does not get enough blood oxygen, which causes dizziness.

3. Migraine: Professor Susan Haydon of the British Migraine Association said that dizziness is often a precursor to a migraine attack, which is caused by the narrowing of blood vessels in the brain and reduced blood flow.

4. Whole body scan: MRI scans may also cause dizziness. The body's balance is controlled by the inner ear, and the strong magnetic field produced by an MRI scan can cause an imbalance in the inner ear's balance organs, leading to vertigo.

5. Dehydration: The brain is mostly made up of water. Once the body is dehydrated, the brain function will malfunction. Professor Lawrence Armstrong of the University of Connecticut said that when you are dehydrated, your blood viscosity increases, your body temperature rises, and your heart rate increases. Therefore, when you feel dizzy, try drinking a large glass of water.

6. Blood pressure and hypoxia problems: Many cases of dizziness are caused by a sudden drop in blood pressure and a short period of hypoxia in the brain. For example, standing up or getting out of bed suddenly.

7. Swimming: Swimming can easily cause water to enter the ears. Once water enters the ears, it will affect the inner ear balance organ. Vertigo may last for several hours or even days before the water in the ears completely dries up. Experts point out that emotional tension before and during swimming can cause a decrease in blood oxygen in the brain, leading to dizziness.

8. Allergies: Allergens such as peanuts, cats, dust and pollen may also cause dizziness. Dr. Adrian Morris, an expert at the Surrey Allergy Clinic in the UK, said that allergies can cause mucus to form in the sinuses and middle ear, affecting the balance organ in the inner ear and causing dizziness.

There are many reasons why women often feel dizzy, and different treatments should be given according to different reasons. Do not take medicine casually, or ignore frequent dizziness. Without treatment, the condition may become more serious if you delay. In short, frequent dizziness is definitely not a trivial matter. You should take it seriously and go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
