How long does it take for fetal heart rate changes to occur during pregnancy?

After pregnancy, the pregnant mother will become very sensitive. She will want to communicate with her baby at every moment and want to feel the baby's presence at all times. The first way for pregnant mothers to feel the presence of the baby is probably through fetal heart rate detection. How happy a woman is when she can hear her baby's heart beating! So how long does it take for the fetal heart rate to change during pregnancy?

Generally, the fetal heartbeat can be heard at 12 weeks, but it requires the aid of an instrument. I listened to it when I went to the hospital to build the Weibao manual at 13 weeks, but the sound was very weak because the baby was so small. From the 16th day after conception, the heart does not yet have the shape of a heart, but it can already beat.

By the end of the first month, the heart has begun to take shape, but it is still very fragile and cannot receive fetal heart sounds. By 12 weeks, the fetal heartbeat can be heard using an ultrasonic stethoscope. At 20 weeks, the fetal heartbeat can be heard with an ordinary stethoscope. It is necessary to use a regular stethoscope to listen to the fetal heartbeat after 18 to 20 weeks of pregnancy. Before listening to the fetal heartbeat, let the pregnant woman urinate and lie flat on the bed. If the pregnancy is a little advanced, you can first check where the fetal back is, and then place a tube-type or forehead-type stethoscope on the pregnant woman's abdominal wall to hear the fetal heart sounds.

Before 24 weeks of pregnancy, fetal heart sounds are mostly heard in the center below the navel or slightly to the left or right; after 24 weeks of pregnancy, fetal heart sounds are most clearly heard on the side where the fetal back is. The fetal heart rate is like the ticking sound of a clock, and the normal fetal heart rate is 120 to 160 times per minute. Hearing the fetal heart rate can confirm the pregnancy and the fetus is alive. However, when listening to the fetal heartbeat, it is also necessary to distinguish it from the low-pitched uterine murmur like blowing, the strong-pitched abdominal aortic sound like gurgling that is consistent with the pregnant woman's pulse, the irregular fetal movement sounds with varying intensities, and the low-pitched umbilical cord murmur like blowing that is consistent with the fetal heartbeat. With the development of science, with the help of B-ultrasound and Doppler detection, the fetal heart beat can be heard as early as before 18 weeks of pregnancy or around 10 weeks of pregnancy, and the fetal heart reflex can be seen under B-ultrasound at 7 to 8 weeks of pregnancy.

The baby's fetal heart rate can also reflect his development in the mother's belly, so pregnant mothers need to pay more attention to the changes in their baby's fetal heart rate. While feeling the baby's presence, they must also pay attention at all times. Once any abnormalities are found, they need to go to the hospital for examination in time to ensure the healthy development of their baby.
