Is the week before menstruation a safe period?

Menstruation is the most critical physiological phenomenon for women. The occurrence of this physiological phenomenon indicates that the female reproductive system function is basically normal. However, this normality also has a certain time standard. Some women's menstruation will be earlier or later, some women will have symptoms of menstrual disorders, and for some women, is the week before menstruation a safe period? Women are more concerned about this issue, so let’s take a look at the explanation below.

It is a safe period, but it is not 100% safe. The safe period is divided into safe period before ovulation and safe period after ovulation. The period from the end of menstruation to the day before ovulation is the safe period before ovulation. From the first day after the end of ovulation to the day before the next menstrual cramps is the safe period after ovulation. The safe period after ovulation is safer than the safe period before ovulation.

A woman's ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. Starting from the first day of the next menstrual period, counting down 14 days or subtracting 14 days is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are called the ovulation period. For example, a woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days, and the first day of this menstruation is December 2nd. Then the next menstruation will be on December 30th (December 2nd plus 28 days). Subtract 14 days from December 30th, and December 16th is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after it, that is, December 11-20, is the ovulation period. Except for the menstrual period and ovulation period, the rest of the time is the safe period.

From the above introduction, we can see that the week before menstruation is a safe period, so women at this time do not need to take too many precautions in sexual intercourse, but this does not mean that preventive measures cannot be taken, because there are many women who get pregnant during the safe period, so women must do some basic precautions during sexual intercourse.
