What is the reason for irregular menstruation after childbirth?

There are many reasons that lead to irregular menstruation in women after childbirth. The most common ones include postpartum hemorrhage leading to blood deficiency, insufficient kidney qi, abnormal emotions, endocrine disorders, etc. In the face of this situation, you must actively adjust your mentality and then adjust your diet reasonably.

1. Blood deficiency leads to scanty menstruation after childbirth. Some new mothers resume their menstruation after giving birth, and their cycles return to normal, but the amount of menstruation is very small, and some new mothers even have only a little menstrual flow and it's over. Women's scanty menstrual blood flow is usually due to blood deficiency or traumatic bleeding. Some women suffer from blood deficiency due to heavy bleeding after childbirth, which can also lead to less menstrual blood after childbirth. In addition, due to excessive childbirth, the kidneys are damaged, resulting in insufficient kidney qi, which can also lead to a small amount of menstrual blood. New mothers with little menstrual flow after giving birth should avoid long-term use of contraceptives.

2. Abnormal emotions cause menstrual disorders. Abnormal emotions, long-term mental depression, sulking, or suffering from major mental stimulation and psychological trauma can all lead to menstrual disorders or dysmenorrhea, or amenorrhea. This is because menstruation is formed after the hormones secreted by the ovaries stimulate the endometrium, and the hormones secreted by the ovaries are controlled by the release of hormones from the pituitary gland and hypothalamus. Therefore, any abnormality in the function of the ovaries, pituitary gland, or hypothalamus will affect menstruation.

3. Endocrine disorders lead to irregular menstrual cycles. After some new mothers resume menstruation after giving birth, their menstrual cycles will become irregular. This symptom is mostly caused by neuroendocrine dysfunction. In addition, some organic diseases and drugs can also cause irregular menstrual cycles in women. Abnormal function of the thyroid and adrenal cortex, inflammation of the reproductive organs, malnutrition, etc. can all lead to abnormal menstrual cycles.
