For patients with yellow leucorrhea, heavy menstrual flow and bright (or purple) red color, red tongue, and thin and stringy pulse, add red vine, dandelion, Patrinia, Gentiana, and Scutellaria as appropriate.

For those with lower abdominal pain, breast tenderness, pale red tongue and thin pulse before menstruation, add Cyperus rotundus, Curcuma aromatica, Toosendan fruit and Corydalis yanhusuo as appropriate.

For those with cold pain in the lower abdomen, pale and fat tongue, and deep and thin pulse, add dried ginger, cinnamon twig, fennel, and fried mugwort leaves as appropriate.

For those with kidney deficiency and low back pain, add Cuscuta seeds, Epimedium, Eucommia bark, Deer antler powder, and Rehmannia root.

(2) Preparation and Usage: Boil the above medicine in water and take orally in 2 to 3 doses. One course of treatment is 20 days, and use should be discontinued during menstruation.
