Explanation of the menstrual cycle for girls

Many female friends are only concerned with their careers and do not pay attention to their physical condition, especially during the menstrual period. They should pay more attention to getting a good rest. Let us learn about the menstrual cycle of girls.

Specific cycle:

Menstrual cramps

Menstruation is also called menstrual bleeding. Menstrual bleeding is a sign that a woman has not yet conceived (but it is not certain, as menstrual bleeding sometimes occurs in early pregnancy). During the reproductive period, the absence of bleeding during menstruation means that a woman has conceived. When an expected menstrual period does not come, a woman may be able to say her "period is late," but she may also be pregnant.

Normal menstruation means the duration of menstruation (usually 3-5 days, but 2-7 is also generally accepted). The average blood loss during menstruation is 35 ml, and 10-80 ml is also normal. Some women also find that they experience a discharge of tissue from the uterine lining mixed with blood during their menstrual period, which is also normal. Plasmin in the endometrium tends to inhibit blood clotting.

Due to blood loss, in order to avoid iron deficiency, women need a higher iron content in their diet than men. As the number of women experiencing symptoms of uterine cramping (severe uterine cramping or other symptoms known as period pain) has increased, an industry has developed to provide women with related hygiene products during menstruation, including sanitary napkins, tampons, etc. Among women who live together, the onset of menstruation tends to be somewhat synchronized, which is called the "McClintock effect". It was initially discovered in 1971 and verified under the influence of pheromones in 1998. However, subsequent investigations still classified this result as doubtful.

Follicular phase

Under the influence of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), five to seven follicles in the third stage are adequately supplied and enter the next menstrual cycle. These follicles, which are in the prime time of their lives after a series of folliculogenesis programs, begin to compete with each other for dominant dominance. Under the influence of the signal cascade caused by LH, these follicles begin to release estradiol, which gradually inhibits the secretion of FSH by the pituitary gland. While estradiol inhibits the pituitary gland from secreting follicle-stimulating hormone, it also adds some follicle-stimulating hormone receptors to the follicle that has already gained dominant status, making it easier for it to absorb follicle-stimulating hormone.

As the supply of follicle-stimulating hormone gradually decreases, the growth rate of non-dominant follicles gradually decreases until they eventually die. This process is called degeneration. However, the follicles that have already acquired a dominant status continue to secrete inhibin to the pituitary gland, further suppressing the non-dominant follicles. This dominant follicle continued to grow, forming a protrusion near the ovarian epidermis, and soon became a follicle capable of ovulating.

Estradiol, together with estrogen secreted by the follicles, begins to form a new endometrial layer, which is histologically called endometrial hyperplasia. If a fertilized egg appears, the embryo will implant itself into this cozy fleshy organ.

The above article gives you a detailed introduction to the female menstrual cycle. I believe everyone already has a basic understanding of it, so you must pay attention to it during your menstrual period. You must strictly require yourself not to eat cold or icy food and ensure adequate sleep.
