Treatment of bladder stones in women

Treatment of bladder stones in women

Bladder stones in women are a relatively common disease. This disease can cause serious damage to the female bladder. If the stones are too large, it will be extremely painful. Therefore, many women want to learn about the treatment of female bladder stones in order to get treatment as soon as possible. In order for you to understand it as soon as possible, please read the detailed introduction below.

The principle of treatment for bladder stones is to remove the stones and correct the cause of the stones. Severe bladder infections are treated with antibiotics.

1. Open cystoscopic mechanical, electrohydraulic, ballistic, and ultrasonic pneumatic lithotripsy.

2. Suprapubic cystolithotomy is simple, easy, safe and reliable, does not require special equipment, and can treat other lesions in the bladder at the same time.

3. Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy is rarely used because of its high price.

Western medicine treatment

Small stones can be discharged through the urethra on their own, while larger stones that cannot be discharged on their own can be treated with intravesical lithotripsy. The methods of lithotripsy include extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, electrohydraulic lithotripsy, ultrasonic lithotripsy and lithotripsy with lithotripsy forceps. For patients with larger stones and no lithotripsy equipment, suprapubic cystolithotomy can be performed. For patients with bladder infection, the inflammation should be actively treated at the same time.

The main components of bladder stones are: calcium oxalate, carbonate apatite, urate, ammonium magnesium phosphate, calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, cystine, etc.

There are many treatments for bladder stones, but they can be roughly divided into two categories: surgical stone removal and non-surgical lithotripsy. Among them, surgical stone removal is the traditional suprapubic cystolithotomy, and the other type of non-surgical lithotripsy can be divided into cystoscopic mechanical lithotripsy (forceps lithotripsy), electrohydraulic lithotripsy, ultrasonic lithotripsy, ballistic pneumatic lithotripsy, etc. There are four main methods:

In the ESWL bladder lithotripsy method, after the patient has emptied his bladder, 100 ml of normal saline is injected into the bladder. If the bladder cannot be completely emptied, some urine can be retained and the patient can lie prone. The fixation device can be removed after lithotripsy. Allow the patient to move left and right and observe the crushing process. The crushed stone particles should be less than 0.5 cm. Three days after surgery, 20 mg of furosemide was injected intramuscularly twice a day, the patient's water intake was increased, and oral antibiotics were taken for 1 week.

Cystoscopic lithotripsy method: After successful sacral anesthesia, the patient is in lithotomy position, 5 ml of paraffin oil is injected into the urethra, and the stones are crushed under direct vision with 24F powerful lithotripsy forceps. The operation is repeated until the broken stones can be completely flushed out with a flusher.

The method of cystoscopic electrohydraulic lithotripsy is the same as that of pliers lithotripsy, except that the electrode must be kept at least 2 cm away from the cystoscope and less than 0.5 cm away from the stone during operation. This can effectively break up the stones while avoiding damage to the cystoscope.

After successful epidural anesthesia, suprapubic cystolithotomy was performed, with the bladder being incised layer by layer until all the stones were removed. However, the patient had a severe infection and a suprapubic cystostomy was performed.

Treatment methods for female bladder stones. I believe that many women have gained more knowledge and understanding of the treatment methods for female bladder stones through the above introduction. Therefore, after understanding the above-introduced treatment methods, in order to get their bladder stones treated as soon as possible, after understanding the above content, they should seek treatment as soon as possible so that their bladder stones can recover as soon as possible.
