Introduction to the time of female endocrine examination

It is better to go during menstruation, 2 or 3 days after menstruation.

Endocrine examination actually checks whether the secretion levels of these hormones (including luteinizing hormone, follicle-stimulating hormone, prolactin, progesterone and estrogen testosterone) are normal.

In the female endocrine checklist, we can see the following indicators: LH (luteinizing hormone), FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), PRL (prolactin), PROG (progesterone), E2 (estrogen testosterone)

1. Luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone mainly promote follicle development and ovulation. If the test value is too high, it may cause amenorrhea or infertility;

2. Excessive prolactin may be caused by a pituitary tumor or hypothyroidism;

3. If progesterone is too low, it indicates that the pituitary gland and ovary function is low, which may be anovulation or irregular menstruation, or threatened abortion;

4. Ovarian tumors or pregnancy may indicate that estrogen levels are too high. If estrogen levels are too low, it may be caused by other reasons such as gonadal hypoplasia or ovarian failure.

5. High testosterone may be caused by polycystic ovary syndrome or chromosomal abnormalities.
