The dangers of drinking during menstruation

Wine is a common drink in our lives, and it often appears in various banquets and social gatherings. It is not just men who like to drink, but many women have also learned to drink and are getting used to the taste. However, they do not know that alcohol is very harmful to our bodies. Many women also have the habit of drinking during menstruation, such as beer and liquor. Let's take a look at the hazards of women drinking during menstruation:

Even if they drink alcohol during menstruation, women are half as likely as men to suffer liver damage or alcohol poisoning. Because women lack decomposition enzymes in their bodies during menstruation, if they drink too much at once, the time of drunkenness will be prolonged and the feeling or symptoms of drunkenness will be more severe. This is why drinking during menstruation is addictive and can easily lead to alcohol poisoning.

In addition, before menstruation, the secretion of alcohol-degrading enzymes will decrease due to the influence of female hormone secretion. Therefore, the rate of alcohol decomposition will be reduced, resulting in the alcohol not being excreted but becoming an acidic substance. To neutralize these substances, the liver has to continuously produce enzymes, which eventually increases the possibility of causing liver dysfunction.

Before menstruation, the activity of degrading enzymes is low and the ability to metabolize alcohol decreases. If your metabolism slows down, you'll be drunk longer and feel more drunk. Therefore, drinking before menstruation can easily become addictive and often becomes the trigger for alcohol poisoning.

Therefore, caring for yourself must be implemented at the most fundamental level, and women should also consider their menstrual cycle when drinking. The secretion of menstrual blood is no more than 50-120g, and alcohol will not have any effect on it. In addition, there are many women who particularly want to drink wine or warm wine during menstruation. This is because the body temperature drops by 0.3-0.4 degrees during menstruation, and they subconsciously want to warm up the body. Therefore, during this period, drinking 1-2 glasses of wine is the appropriate amount, no more.

Generally, the time of drunkenness will be prolonged before menstruation, which is also a forbidden period for the liver!

Please note that women are absolutely not allowed to drink alcohol during menstruation. For the sake of their own health, they must quit this habit in time. Not to mention drinking during menstruation, even drinking frequently when you are not menstruating is not good. People who drink frequently are not good for the liver and are prone to hepatitis, or cirrhosis, and even liver cancer. Please pay attention.
