Dietary treatment for mastitis

Dietary treatment for mastitis

"Can I use diet therapy to treat mastitis? What foods should I mainly eat?" This is a question that many mastitis patients and their families want to know. Since mastitis is more common among women, it makes many women feel very uneasy. In addition to receiving regular hospital treatment, diet therapy should also be of great help in alleviating mastitis symptoms.

Acute mastitis is an acute suppurative infection of the breast. It is an inflammation of the connective tissue in and around the mammary ducts. It often occurs in postpartum and lactating women, especially primiparas. Literature reports that 50% of acute mastitis occurs in primiparas, and the ratio of primiparas to multiparas is 2.4:1. It can occur at any time during lactation, but is most common 3 to 4 weeks after delivery, so it is also called puerperal mastitis. Patients with mastitis should pay attention to eating foods such as kelp, seaweed, laver, oysters, etc. that have the function of resolving phlegm, softening and dispersing nodules. But the fat intake should be reduced appropriately. Dairy products are very rich in nutrients, and it is beneficial for patients with mastitis to eat more dairy products. Because dairy products including milk are very good nutrients, they are especially good for the breast and can even supplement calcium. Cereals, corn, soybeans and some grains are also good for health, can lower cholesterol, promote the body's metabolism, and are also helpful for the digestive system, promoting digestion and preventing cancer. Some nuts contain a lot of antioxidants that can have anti-cancer effects. Patients with mastitis can eat more yellow croaker, turtle, loach, hairtail, octopus, squid, sea cucumber, etc., because these fish are rich in trace elements, which are essential components for the human body, and can protect the breast and inhibit cancer growth.

Mastitis is not a serious disease, but you should still actively cooperate with the treatment. No matter how expensive the medicine is, it cannot compare to our desire to live. In fact, I believe everyone understands these principles, but when the disease really invades, not everyone can cheer up. You must have the desire to survive, but you must never give up the determination to face difficulties bravely.
