What to do if nipples turn dark after pregnancy

Everyone loves beauty, especially women who care a lot about their appearance and even other aspects. They cannot accept any changes. After pregnancy, our nipples will become darker and the areola will become larger. This is a normal phenomenon. After the pregnancy, it will slowly return to normal color. We don’t worry too much, but some people cannot accept it. What should we do? There are some simple methods we can use.

Many married women say that their nipples become darker after pregnancy. Experts point out that the darkening of nipples is a normal physiological phenomenon and there is no need to worry or be afraid. The darkening problem can be completely cured by nipple reduction after breastfeeding.

After a woman becomes pregnant, the small particles on the dark yellow areola around the nipples will appear particularly prominent. About a week before menstruation, she will also experience breast tenderness and breast enlargement due to the increase in estrogen. Experts point out that the darkening of nipples cannot be used alone as a basis for determining whether a woman is pregnant.

It is normal for nipples to become darker after pregnancy. Most women will have this problem. The color will become lighter after breastfeeding ends, and the color and size will no longer be the same as before pregnancy. After giving birth, women's hormones in the body cause endocrine changes, and the color of their nipples and areolas tends to deepen and expand. Some women feel that the darkening of the areola affects their appearance and hope to use medical help to make the areola pink again.

There are three ways to make your areola pink:

1. Laser lightening of areola: Using laser lightening method, areola coloring or darkening is often caused by darkening of pigment. Use specific lasers to selectively destroy and reduce the pigment in the areola, thereby lightening the color of the areola and making the areola pink and tender.

2. Drug bleaching method: Use whitening products containing arbutin, L-ascorbic acid and A acid to apply to the areola area. It has a nourishing effect, but the whitening effect is limited.

3. Permanent red bleaching method for tattooing: Use tattooing to tattoo the areola into pink, and the effect will last forever. It can be designed according to the needs and skin color characteristics of different people to achieve the desired areola color.

Judging from the bleaching effect and duration, nipple bleaching for tattoos can be said to be the best method at present. However, it is worth noting that the effect of nipple bleaching is determined by the bleaching pigment and technique.

Although these are some quick methods, they do have certain side effects. It is best not to use them if you can avoid them. Because they will eventually return to normal color and size, we don’t need to worry too much. If they don’t change, it is because of personal physical problems, and these methods can be used.
