Why does morning sickness cause bile vomiting?

We all know that morning sickness is normal, but if bile occurs during morning sickness, then there is a problem. Because morning sickness often causes us to vomit out the food we eat. If morning sickness occurs on an empty stomach, bile may be present. We can also use these symptoms to judge whether the morning sickness is serious. Pregnant women should try to ensure a light diet when eating.

Bile is a digestive fluid created in the liver and held in the gallbladder that is used to break down fats during digestion. It may be yellow or green when expelled, making it easy to identify vomitus. There are many reasons why someone might vomit bile, including the lack of other cleansing after multiple vomiting episodes have left the stomach empty. Other reasons range from anger to obstacles and surgery.

Vomiting bile from multiple recent vomiting because the stomach is empty may not be as serious as some causes of vomiting bile. It's usually the result of a defense-mechanism stomach virus or other illness. It's not that there are multiple vomiting annoyances. A person suffering from nausea and vomiting should make sure to stay well hydrated and may need to consult a doctor if vomiting persists.

When a person has an obstruction in his small intestine, it can cause bile to be expelled. Bile naturally mixes with the stomach, but once an obstruction occurs, the bile can be forced into vomiting. Some causes of small intestinal obstruction are adhesions, gallstones and inflammatory bowel disease.

Another cause of vomiting bile is bile reflux, a similar disorder to acid reflux -- except the bile is acid. When there is too much bile in the stomach, the body naturally wants to get rid of it, with the vomiting reaction. Bile reflux can cause peptic ulcers and require gastric surgery to remove the bile source. Any stomach surgery, including gastric bypass surgery, surgery to remove the gallbladder etc. can cause an excess of bile to build up in the abdomen.

Drugs and alcohol can also cause someone to vomit bile. If alcohol is consumed in large quantities and for a long time, the stomach lining begins to irritate. When the stomach lining becomes very angry, bile is expelled. Certain drugs, such as morphine and digitalis, cause chemoreceptors to fire. If this happens bile will also be expelled.

Cyclic vomiting syndrome (CVS), another cause of vomiting bile, occurs when a person becomes violently triggered even if he is otherwise healthy. These episodes of vomiting can last up to 10 days. A patient with CVS will see an episode of vomiting more than once a month. Excess vomiting irritates the stomach and produces more bile. The bile is then vomited so the stomach can get rid of the excess.

If the symptoms of bile vomiting during pregnancy appear for a long time, the patient should go to the hospital for medical treatment in time, and it is best to be relieved under the treatment of a doctor. Vomiting bile during morning sickness can have a certain impact on the pregnant woman's body and fetus, so expectant mothers must pay attention to daily protective measures and regularity of diet, and avoid eating irritating foods.
