Benign breast tumors

Benign breast tumors

There are many common breast diseases. When treating breast diseases, it is important to choose the correct treatment method, which will be very helpful in alleviating the disease. Moreover, women should not be too anxious after suffering from breast diseases, otherwise the disease will become more serious. They should calm their emotions so that they can choose the correct method to treat the disease. So what is the cause of benign breast tumors? This is also something that many women do not know.

Causes of benign breast tumors:

Breast fibroadenomas can be divided into three categories: ① Common fibroadenomas: This type is the most common, with a small tumor, generally less than 3 cm, and grows relatively slowly. ② Adolescent fibroadenoma is also called juvenile fibroadenoma: It is less common, and occurs more often around the time of menarche. It can also be seen in young women. The tumor grows fast, and the tumor is mostly larger than 5 cm, or even larger than 20 cm, causing changes in the appearance of the breast, but the boundaries of the tumor are still very clear. There are certain pathological characteristics. ③ Giant fibroadenoma: It is more common in middle-aged women and can be seen in pregnant, lactating, and pre- and post-menopausal women. The tumor grows rapidly and can reach more than 5 cm or even 10 cm or larger in a short period of time. Because of its large number of cells, it is also called multicellular fibroadenoma.

The cause of breast fibroadenoma may be related to endocrine hormone disorders in the body. Generally speaking, there are two mechanisms: ① Imbalance in estrogen and progesterone secretion: The estrogen level is relatively or absolutely increased. Excessive estrogen stimulation can lead to abnormal proliferation of the breast duct epithelium and stromal components, forming tumors. ② Local breast tissue is overly sensitive to estrogen: Glandular tissue in different parts of the breast has different sensitivities to estrogen. Breast tissue with higher sensitivity is more prone to fibroadenoma. The sensitivity of breast tissue to estrogen stimulation varies among different women, and the probability of susceptible women getting the disease is greatly increased. Dietary and physical factors such as high-fat and high-calorie diet, obesity, liver dysfunction, depression or bad temper all increase the chance of developing breast fibroadenoma through the above two mechanisms. ③Genetic tendency: 20% to 30% of patients with breast fibroadenoma have genetic abnormalities.

After understanding the cause of benign breast tumors, some conservative treatment methods can be chosen when treating benign breast tumors, which can be very helpful in alleviating the condition. At the same time, if the disease is caused by obesity, women should lose weight in time, which can also help treat benign breast tumors.
