At what age does menopause occur?

Many female friends are about to reach middle age and have to go through menopause. Do you remember that after that, everyone will experience menopause. What I will introduce to you next is some related knowledge about the age at which female friends will experience menopause. Let's learn about it together.

Menopause generally begins about 10 years before menopause, and the clinical indicator of obvious ovarian function decline is "menopause". The age of menopause is usually between 45 and 55 years old.

The timing of menopause in women varies greatly from person to person and is related to many factors.

(1) Age at menarche. Those with an earlier age of menarche tend to have a later menopause; those with a later age of menarche tend to have an earlier menopause.

(2) Genetic and family factors. If your mother and sisters go through menopause early, you will also go through menopause early; otherwise, it will be later.

(3) Menstrual cycle and menstrual volume. Women with short menstrual cycles, fewer days, less menstrual flow, and no dysmenorrhea generally experience menopause earlier; women with long menstrual cycles, more days, heavier menstrual flow, and dysmenorrhea generally experience menopause later.

(4) Living standards. Women with a high standard of living have menopause later, while women with a low standard of living have menopause earlier.

(5) Marital status and fertility. Married women have menopause later than unmarried women; those who have had more pregnancies and childbirths have menopause later, and those who have had more than one pregnancy and childbirth have menopause later than those who have never had a child.

(6) Educational level. Those with primary school education or those who are illiterate have menopause later than those with high school or university education; those who have family discord, loneliness and indifference have menopause earlier; those who are divorced or widowed have menopause earlier than those who have a spouse.

(7) Smoking factor. Smoking can cause early menopause because the nicotine in cigarettes affects the blood supply to the ovaries, causing premature ovarian failure.

(8) Certain gynecological diseases. Diseases such as uterine fibroids, cervical cancer, uterine body cancer, and breast cancer may be accompanied by delayed menopause.

We know at what age menopause occurs. Generally speaking, female friends after menopause will gradually experience menopause. This is related to each person's physical constitution. During the period after menopause, everyone should pay attention to and take warming measures.
